Thinking of purchasing at AK and was wondering what you do if you need a crib? Can you rent one or do you have to bring your own?

Thanks,

Tony

I thought I remembered hearing that all rooms have a pack and play in them.

When we did a tour of one at WDW, we were told that there was a pack-n-play in every room. I believe that it's kept in one of the closets.

Beach club 2 bedrooms they maybe in the coffee table.

Every villa should have a pack-n-play and a high chair (wooden restaurant-style) in it - we've found them in one of the closets. If you need more that one you can call mousekeeping and they'll bring another.

From experience you must request a pack and play. They do say they are in every room, but we got "lucky"and did not have one in our room. You can also request a high chair, or a real wooden crib.

When our oldest was an infant, we spent a long week at Old Key West trying to get her to sleep in the Pak 'N Play . . . she just didn't want to sleep in that thing. I don't know what her issue was, but we lost a lot of sleep on that trip! After that, I found A Baby's Best Friend (http://www.abbf.com/). You can rent a real, full-size cribs from them (along with a lot of other baby supplies). They deliver the crib to bell services, and then you can have bell services bring it to your room (tip appropriately of couse . . . especially if you're staying on the 3rd floor at OKW!!). The cribs are really easy to set up without any tools, and include all the linens. At the end of your trip, you just take it apart, pack it back up and have Bell Services come get it (again, don't forget the tip) and ABBF picks it up from Bell Services later that day. Its really easy. We rented from them 5 or 6 times and it was worth every penny. Just thought I'd share in case you need a "real" crib.

Everytime we've stayed with DVC we've had a pack n play and a wooden high chair in the closet along with a sheet for the pack n play. The only time we had a problem was last time we stayed at OKW there was no sheet, called mousekeeping and two were delivered promptly.

Just wanted to add another thumbs up :thumbsup2 for ABBF. We've used them 4 times and each experience was excellent. If you find you need a real crib they are definitely the way to go.

Add another happy abbf.com renter.

You can always call housekeeping ask about a crib too. We stayed at OKW and BCV last August with 3 month old granddaughter. At both locations daughter called and asked about a "real" crib and both times they were available. AT OKW they brought a nice smaller white metal crib which was prefect for babygirl. Then when we moved over to the BCV she called again and immediately they brought the biggest full size metal crib I've ever seen. It looked like a hospital one. The nice part was that the sides went down and it was easier laying her down and tending to her in the middle of the night. They brought sheets and actually set the cribs up at both places. We will most likely request it again in the future as babygirl is now 8 months old but will be heading down with all of us again in 2 months. Keep in mind that it is only a request and they can not be request before you check in. They can only be requested after you are in your room. First come, first serve. BTW, there has always been a PnP and highchair in all of our rooms in the closest (except AKV -- only a PnP).
