Cribs available at Boardwalk Villas?

We are travelling with a 2 1/2 yr old and a 5-month old, and going to stay in a 1-bedroom villa at Boardwalk DVC. I read somewhere that "cribs are available". Is this true? I know there is a pack-n-play in the room, but a crib would be much better for the little one to sleep. Thanks, Bob

Every villa has a pack and play crib. When our son was an infant and used them, I brought our own crib sheet for it (babies r us).

We always rent one. http://www.orlandocribrental.com/

The one year we requested one when we were not in a villa they showed up with a pack and play and said "here is your crib".

I think actual full-size cribs are few and far between.

Another rental that gets great reviews is A Baby's Best Friend - they have everything. We have used them on numerous vacations and have always been very pleased. When the children are getting good nights' sleep, the vacation always goes better.

www.abbf.com is their site. Easy to order, smooth pickup and always very very clean. The resort pack n plays: not so much.

Highly recommended. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Another vote for ABBF - we have used them in the past for a full crib and double strollers, they are the best.

Easy to work with and reasonably priced. And you are correct about the cleanliness, which is huge with me. Clean and very nice.

Great stuff!

:)

I also highly recommend ABBF. We used them last year for our trip to rent a full size crib for our 2 1/2 year old and it was great! She was still in a crib at home and I didn't want the drama of trying to get her to sleep in a big bed while on vacation.

The bed was at bell services when we arrived and was super easy to put together. It also came with bedding that was nice and clean (although I brought my own sheets from home, we did use the bumper pad because it had Mickey on it and once DD saw it, she insisted on it being in there).

DD slept much better in the full size crib than she would have in a pack n play...plus some of the Disney pack n plays that I have seen are not in the greatest shape. I'm sure they get a lot of use.

We will be using ABBF again this year to rent a crib for my younger DD who will be 15 months old when we go.

As many others have said...if you NEED a crib...then rent one. Cribs are "by request" and not guaranteed. Just my opinion but not sure why the little one wouldn't be fine in the pack 'n play. My daughter fit in her bassinet until 4+ months and was easily comfortable in a pack and play at 5 mos.

Agreed. We decided to rent one from ABBF for our May trip because in Sept, DS1 slept horribly in the pack & Play. Just better to have a crib!!
