Hello

We are planning a trip in March to Old Key West with our twins who will be 8 months old.

I have requested 2 cribs and wonder if anyone has had a problem getting them?

I really can see them sleeping in pack and plays for 2 weeks and reallize the cribs are only a request.

Thank You so much

I will be watching this thread!!! We are expecting our daughter Anastasia on feb 20th, Going to VWL in November.
Happy Holidays,
Nick

Traveling with DGSs the last two years we have had good luck with the pack and play units for sleeping and they were 18 months at the time. I had requested a crib this past trip but ended up not needing it. They did not have it in the unit when we checked in and apologized and said we could get one the next day. When they called we said no thanks we don't need it after all. I would call the resort a few days before the trip and make sure the request is on your reservation there. Someone has said they are metal cribs similar to the ones you might see in hospitals. If you plan to use the pack and play you might want to bring sheets from home so they have a familiar smell for the baby also.

Cribs can be tough to get at OKW. OKW is not a hotel structure. You might be lucky and get one but I doubt it. Next time stay at one of the DVC resorts like BCV or VWL>

My last 2 visits to a OKW studio we had a pack n play in closet when we arrived! The bad part was our son decided to sleep with my wife and I! lol

The pack and play was missing from our 2br unit on our trip in Nov. I asked them to bring us another one, but they must have been out of them, because they brought a white metal crib. This was bad for us. If I'd known we wouldn't have a pack n play, I would have brought crib bumpers from home. But no, poor dd2 kept moving in her sleep and banging her head on this lame metal crib, GRRRR!!!!
Our trips have always had pack n plays in our rooms....for years we didn't need one (there are 7 yrs between our girls). Anyway, if you prefer a crib to a pack n play, then make sure to bring what your baby needs to feel comfortable.

1) Villas have pack-and-play units AND cribs.
2) Just request one on your ressie.
3) Ask again at check-in.
4) If they don't have extras at the resort, they can get them elsewhere.
