Hello,
I understand there's mostly pack and plays and some potential cribs at the resorts - How do we actually go about requesting one vs the other? I've done the check in on the app and didn't see anything (maybe I missed it?) and our plane literally lands at midnight so I'd love to get it in the room before we get there instead of waiting 20 minutes at 1am (:
Thanks!

from what I have read you have to make request at the desk when you arrive. at time you arrive most likely cribs would be out as they are first come first get. you should be able to get a pack and play there could already be one in the room for you to set up

You could try calling the resort while in transit from airport to resort. No guarantees that will help, but you can try.

In my experience, you generally need to ask for it at the front desk (the pack n play came almost immediately when I was at POFQ).

We’ve done 5-6 stays since last year and we’ve never been given a crib. It’s always been a pack n play

Requesting one vs the other is a different point than requesting one to be in your room.

If you have a real preference for a crib instead of a pack-n-play, it's best to rent one from off-site and not rely on the resort having one available. Pack-n-plays are plentiful, cribs are very limited.

I suggest calling to put the request on your reservation. No guarantee it will be in the room when you arrive, but stop at the front desk on arrival to confirm rather than getting to your room first and then having to track one down. That should shorten the wait if they still need to bring one to you. If you are staying in a DVC villa or a Ft Wilderness cabin, there is most likely a pack-n-play already in the closet.

I am going to Disney for the first time with my then 14 month old grandson in October.
I just asked the Pack N Play question on the DVC thread.
I was informed that DVC no longer has the Pack N Plays in the room closets since after Covid, they didn't want to have to keep cleaning them not knowing if used or not. You now need to request when you arrive at the front desk.

Above all being said, I didn't know that I could actually request a crib. Maybe I'll have to start doing some research on that and ask my dd what she would prefer.

Thank you.

I do know that cribs are in shorter supply than P&Ps and are first come first serve. Like a PP said, the best way to guarantee a crib is to rent one from an off site supplier.

Is there one location that people like over another for the cribs?

Thanks for that update!

Yes, you will not find a pack and play in your room anymore.

I either call from the room or stop by the front desk, whichever is most convenient for us. One is delivered within 20 minutes typically. We stay onsite monthly, if not more often.

I didn't realize until our stay last week that Disney even offered cribs and had no issue getting one. My guess is that most people assume pack n plays are the only option, since that's what most hotels offer and what villas used to have in the room, and few even request a crib. Since my two year old is outgrowing the pack n play, he slept so much better in the crib last week!

You can request a crib online only when you create your reservation. It won't give the option when you do check in online later. However, just call the front desk as soon as you get into your room and they'll send someone with either a Pack N Play or crib over. Last trip we made in Dec 2021 at Caribbean Beach they gave me a choice of PnP or crib when I called the front desk. I also asked them why it doesn't already come in the room and the CM told me they're not allowed to bring the crib over unless someone is physically present to receive it.

Thank you.

Probably depends on the layout of the room and what works best for the kiddo.

At Port Orleans French Quarter, we had it in the dressing area near the sink because my daughter needed total darkness to sleep.
