Crib Rental at the resorts???

I am planning a trip with myfamily for September to the Boardwalk Villas.My 3 year old will be busting out of the pack and play that they provide.Has anyone rented an actual crib?

We rented a full sized crib and it came with the crib bedding freshly washed in a plastic bag. It's nice having the full sized crib in the hotel room, although you have to stash the huge cardboard box it comes in under your bed or in the closet.

I was considering this company as well... but had a question regarding the crib rental. Do you mean that they just drop the unassembled crib at the bellman's desk and you have to get it up to your room and put it together? Seems like a lot of work! How did it work for you? We are considering this company, for both cribs and a double stroller.

ABBF will deliver the crib to the bell services of your hotel. Be careful because they only guarantee delivery by a certain time, especially on weekends, i.e. 6pm. If you were hoping to get an early check-in and a nap, it's possible (if your room is ready). We were told by ABBF to request the crib for the day b4. This way it was ready at bell services when we got there. They delivered the crib and it was pretty easy to put together. It took about 10 minutes. Keep in mind you will have to store some boxes and such through the week in your room.

We used to have success at BWV getting full sized cribs right through the resort, but I understand they are "phasing them out." If you really really really must have the crib, I would definitely rent.

We disassembled on our last day and called bell services again. They removed the crib and that was that. All pretty simple and well worth it for the good sleep DS had.

We rented a crib from abbf when we went in february and were very pleased with the service. Once I got over the idea of using some random crib that's been Lord knows where it was really very nice. It came just as the pp described, and I have to admit it was very clean. (I still wiped it down with antibacterial wipes, but I'm a freak.) We also brought our own crib sheets so DD would feel more at home.

One of the nice things is that you can choose exactly where you want to set it up. We moved a couple of things around in our villa to put the crib exactly where we wanted it. If you use a full size crib from a resort I believe they set it up for you in advance, leaving few options for rearranging.

Setting it up was much simpler than we had anticipated, and it required no tools at all. It really did only take 10 or 15 minutes.

All in all, if I needed to I would use this service again. Good luck!

I agree with the PPs. We rented a crib and stroller from ABBF in May and they worked great. I am also a germ freak so I wiped down both items with antibacterial hand wipes, but I really don't think I needed to. We did take our own sheet and blanket for the crib and put them over the sheet that ABBF provided.

Set up/break down were both easy and quick. We definitely will rent from them again.

We rented from ABBF 4 years ago and were very satisfied. They actually set the crib us for us. When we checked in (BCV) it was ready and waiting in the bedroom. Couldn't have asked for better service. I'm not positive (It's been awhile), but I think I had to call to speak to a manager to give permission for her to enter the room. She came the morning of check-out, disassembled the crib and was off. We also rented a high chair and a few toys / Legos, etc. Everything was spotless. The high chair was wrapped in plastic, as were the toys. This year my second DS will be almost three. He's ready to move out of his crib, so by October, we should be able to do w/out one. I don't know if anything's changed in the past four years, but I would highly recommend them from that one experience.
