Can I get creme brulee at the Patisserie in the France pavillion?? We don't want to eat dinner at Chefs because it will be me, DH, my 18 month old son and my mom. I don't think the baby would be ok there. Also, I was thinking of going tot he patisserie for lunch and getting the fruit and cheese plate then a yummy dessert. Thanks for any tips!

I believe that I have seen it there! Along with several other tempting goodies.

The creme brulee at Chefs de France is to die for! I ate at the Patisserie, also, and if I had seen creme brulee there, I would've gotten it. So - I believe the answer is "no."

If the Patisserie doesn't have it, the Fountainview usually does. You can grab a light snack and dessert there and sit outside on the patio to relax.

In December the Patisserie didn't have creme brulee. However, we always stop at Fountainview for creme brulee. It is very good. Not that you asked, but my favorite of all the creme brulee is at Le Cellier. Their maple creme brulee is just the best!

I had my first creme brulee at Chefs last June - love at first bite! We had lunch at the Patisserie the next day, and while they had some wonderful desserts, creme brulee was not among them.

We had creme brulee twice in December. We had the maple kind at Le Cellier, which was not served warm, but was ice cold in the center and was just not that smooth. I was not impressed, but then again, Le Cellier was not our best dining experience last month. But, the best creme brulee that I have ever eaten was served to us at the Rose & Crown. OMG, it was just fantastic. I would so love to have one of those about right now! Maggie

Rose and Crown? Cool! That's where I am hoping to have dinner. We're not making any PS's because I am actually travelling with my school - my chorus is singing in the MK on Valentine's Day - but I am hoping we can get in to R & C for an early dinner. We'll be there on 2/12.

Anyway, just in case we can't get in, where is the Fountainview? Is that right near the fountain in Future World??? I usually only eat in World Showcase.

Thanks!

Fountainview Cafe is right next to the large dancing fountain in Future World. It is on the same side as Ice Station Cool (I think?), the Land, Living Seas, and Imagination. It is mostly coffee, tea, desserts and cordials.

I have had Creme Brulee at The Crystal Palace. It was delicious!!

As the risk of sounding Dopey ;) what exactly is Creme Brulee??? Have always heard it described as delicious, creamy, yummy and so I imagine it to be some sort of carmely pudding type of thing - am I close??

It's a very rich custard made with cream, eggs, sugar and flavorings. The custard is usually baked in individual ramekins, cooled, then topped with sugar. The sugar is then burnt to form a thin, crisp coating.

Vanilla is the traditional flavor. Variations of flavor and topping can be found, such as pistachio, chocolate, Irish Creme, coffee, etc.

It differs from Flan, which is a lighter custard baked with a caramel on the bottom of the pan (which makes a tasty syrup when turned over). Puddings are thickened with starch & eggs (often) and cooked on the stove instead of baked.
