I've never had one - what is in it???

It's like a rich custard with sugar sprinkled on top
then heated so the sugar coating gets crunchy.

My DD favorite is at the Yachtsman Steakhouse.

I agree, Yachtsman streakhouse has the best. #2 I think is at the Canandian Restaurant...Le Cellier (Spelling?)

Gosh--I thought it was made with Creme--and some added Brulee. Shows what I know--

Three others:
Pistachio Creme Brulee at Jiko
Mango Creme Brulee at Citricos
Key Lime Creme Brulee at Narcoosees

One of my favorite desserts. Portions are usually manageable, and not nerly as "heavy" as many other dessert items

Favorite creme brulee is the milk chocolate version they have at Fulton's........my favorite WDW dessert period!

I like the one at the Fountain View Coffee/Sweet shop. It's really light, a classic- and not expensive!!

I have a fix there every few trips (just got home).

Enjoy!!!

I also think the one at Yachtsman Steakhouse is the best with Le Cellier a close second place. It's my favorite dessert at WDW.

Beware, my DD daughter ordered it at Jinkos. The server told her that it had a surprise ingrediant. It turned out to be large bits of cracked pepper at the bottom. DD did not like it at all. The server was really taken aback.

UGH! Pepper? I have never heard of that before.

I have never heard of PEPPER!! The little black "dots" on the bottom of the pot are usually real vanilla beans. The vanilla bean in "Smashed" and the little dots are the beans. They are very delicious and have a very wonderful vanilla flavor. Is this what they were or is Pepper being used at Jinkos? Anyone know?? I have never heard of that and if that is the case I will make sure NOT to order it there.....

I had it at the restaurant in Canada LeCellier and it was GREAT !! I didn't know they had it anywhere else.

When DD turned up her nose, I specifically asked the server what the magic ingrediant was. He told me that it was cracked pepper.

We had banana creme brulee at CRT. I'd never had creme brulee before and loved it. Can't wait to go back and try it at different places!

Cracked pepper.......YUCK!!!! I am sorry but that sounds like a terrible way to ruin a very delicious dessert! I love Creme Brulee. For anyone who likes it if you have a Bahama Breezes restaurant near you (sorry not Disney related) they have a great amaretto creme brulee.......yummmmmmm. I am taking notes on all the wonderful place you have all had creme brulee in Disney so I can take it with me for our next trip. JINKOS will not be on place I will be ordering it!:p Has anyone else had it there and liked it with the pepper? I am just curious.

If you're really making a list of places to try creme brulee (or stay away from it), the place (according to the posts) NOT to have it; the name of the PEPPER brulee place is Jiko.

Their food is wonderful though, and I'd do a double-check with the kitchen about the cracked pepper in the creme brulee....

Good luck, and have fun!!!

The Hollywood Brown Derby has two versions available. At lunch they offer Blueberry Creme brulee and at dinner they offer Double Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee with cinnamon biscotti and Kir Royale preserves.

Just wondering how long ago Black Pepper Brulee was served at Jiko's? Musn't have been a big seller. We last ate there in December and I think I remember it being Pistachio.(didn't do desert the pressed pot Kenyan is enough.:)) There was a Chef and menu change awhile back. There are a few restaurants around the country that serve and have recipes for different versions of Black Pepper Brulee. Have had it as a side to an entree(not sweet) but not as a dessert.

Personal favorites are the Sampler at Wolfgang Puck's Westside and Key Lime Brulee at Narcoosee's. GF
The double vanilla with cinnamon biscotti sure sounds interesting.:)Yum.

During my last visit, I was on the prowl for the best creme brulee. The best I found was at Citricos (Citrus flavor). One of my HUGE requirements for this dessert is the hard sugar crust. Brown Derbys Blueberry was NOT up to par in my book. While tasty, it was more a custard than a creme brulee. It did NOT have a hard top of carmalized sugar but sprinklings of brown sugar here and there like a cobbler topping.

*shudder*

OK, and the pepper thing is just nasty and WRONG. *shudder again* Glad it wasn't there when I was. I LOVE Jiko! But pepper?!

The banana creme brulee at Kona is delicious!
