Ok, the last time I was at Disney World was summer of '99. One thing that keeps flashing into my mind was this really creepy alien ride type of thing. I remember it being at MK (because I didnt go to any of the other parks). First you start out in this little room where you just stand. As you are standing there you are waiting to go into a bigger room. But in the first room there is this little fuzzy cute alien who this scientist wants to send through a teleporter. He does. I think right as he does, they send you into the next room. This room is really big. Everyone has to sit down in a chair which has shoulder bars. As soon as everyone is seated, the fuzzy cute alien gets transported but when he comes through to us, he has been transformed into a nastey evil killing alien. I remember the room went pitch black and all of a suddon I could feel little fingers going through my hair and the alien thing was breathing on the back of my neck. Then some dude up above gets eaten and his blood drips on everyone. This is all I remember about this ride.

I am adamantly sure that this was at WDW....MK.

Ok ok, am I correct and me remembering this ride at WDW is correct? Or am I thinking of anyother place? Cause I was sure it was at Disney World! If I am correct, can someone please tell me what ride this was!

Thanks!

The ride was Alien Encounter, but it has been changed recently and is not at all the same as you remember it.

What is it called now? How is it different now? Do they still even have it? What Land is it in? (ie Frontier Land or Tomorrow Land or other?) I just remember it being really loud and really creepy.

Actually Alien Encounter is no longer there. It has been replaced by a Stich ride that I have heard is terrible.

Is it still creepy and loud? And does it still do the thing where the alien touches your head and breaths on the back of your neck and presses down on the shoulder bars and all that stuff? Or has it COMPLETLY changes? Can you explain how it goes now please.

The only thing that changed since Alien Encounter, is the characters and the story line. The effects are the same, the breathing down your neck, drool, playing with your hair, etc. All of the seats are the same, the middle tube thing is the same. The beginning uses the same tubes and type of technology that was in Alien Encounter, but the story line is COMPLETELY different. Instead of a murderous Alien finding its way into the experimental teleporter, it is a funny little mischievious alien (Stitch) that uses cuteness for it's disguise, but can get very troublesome. I thought this new attraction was real cute, but does not have that element of thrill like Alien Encounter did. Too bad I only went on Alien Encounter once. :sad2: I was really little when I went on it and was quite scared, however, I would have liked to go on it again now that I am older and be able to enjoy it more.

Still very similair-only instead of the alien its now Stitch-no-one gets dismembered, Stitch just runs around trying to escape-oh, and hold your breath when you hear the words "Chili dog" :lmao: Despite what you may read on here its not the worst ride in the history of theme parks.

I have no idea why people think the Stitch thing is so awful! It is hilarious!!!!!! Maybe some people think they are just too mature for it!

well I can't speak for others, but my son was 9 last year when we went to WDW, and he hated the ride. He said it was the worst ride of all 4 parks, and he even went on Pooh and IASW with his little brother, and still chose Stitch as the worst..lol

Oh yeah and this is a kid who bought 3 stitch shirts, Part 2 of the Stitch movie, and 2 stuffed stitches while on vacation. And he is 9 not too old to be too mature....lol

I went on it when it was Alien Encounter, and then read the horror stories on the dis, so I said no way I want to keep the memories of AE. So mom went with him while I watched the younger one, and both hated it..so I am glad I didn't go on it.
