We each have 33 credits for our trip in December. We booked ADRs for 27 of the credits. That leaves us 6 left each. I booked breakfast and Dinners mostly. I figured I would save the extra 6 if we get hungry midday. Does anyone know if we are able to do a cs and only use 1 adult and 1 kid and share that way we can stretch out the credits more more. I am thinking it wont be a problem, but wanted to check with the experts.

With CS (counter service) you can split or do what ever you want you wouldn't have an ADR for those. You pick up the meal and take it to a table and split. With a TS with a server may not let you do that but you can buy a meal or 2 and pay OOP on a separate check.

We shared CS meals in January 2008 when we were on the Deluxe Dining Plan. I am not sure that the kids' credits work any differently- we are all adults, but we have a 2 year old- he is "free". He was usually the only one that would be really hungry at lunch, so two of us would go get a meal, use a couple credits and always provide food for the baby and offer bites to the rest of the group. Usually the others would use their snack credits for lunch and we treat those as "family style" as well.... Basically in my family if you get a popcorn then the rest of us expect a handful!

I know that the credits are "regulated" at table service restaurants, but I can't imagine how this could be done for counter service. I sorta think CS credits work more like snack credits....

Have a great trip!
