Hi All,

Rather than offer items for trade I thought I would get right to the point.

I'll trade credits from kiosk for your blue stitch hat. People can tell you what things are worth, but until they put their credits where their mouth is ....
The value of items you trade are always a bit up in the air, when you go to later trade them, but credits are credits, and they won't suddenly go from being rare to on sale in the Emporium!

So do you have an extra Blue Stitch hat?

New magic is coming out soon, and lots of new stuff too. Credits are always good to have!

Let me know what you would consider fair
(and I'll let you know what I consider fair!) ,
you can even PM if you are more comfortable doing that.

Thanks,
Dis

Hey dis!
Nice to see ya on DIS! :rofl2:
If you want to know my opinion, id say a good offer would bearound 400K, but that figure is probaly outdated

Hi Jedi,
NIce to see ya.

Asking for real offers though, not opinions!

It will be interesting to see what happens with Silver Ears, since only 1,000 given out. My guess is that makes them more rare then stitch hats in the long run. :)

I think 400-500K are the only trades that I've seen in this manner. There were two that I remember, and they were both around this much. That's a lot of credits for one hat... lol

1 stitch hat = 28 - 32 firewalls
1 Firewall = 20,000 credits

Simple math: 560,000 - 600,000 credits.

If you are interested, make me an official offer.

Thank you for your offer.

However the point of how this thread began is that, in fact, there is no such formula for items. Everything in VMK trades for what it is worth to the person trading it. I can assure you that the value of a fire wall varies significantly from what you have written, by as much as 20-50% on any given day, and the number of firewalls to trade for a stitch will also vary quite a bit depending on the player, their needs, and how many stitch hats they have etc. I know this because I have had offers in the game for far less then what you state here, in the recent past; and have bought and sold many items in trade rooms, especially fire walls. Many fire walls have sold for 14k right here on Dis Boards. Why do some people here persist in stating way overinflated values for things, especially those who have things to sell?

That said; thank you, but no thank you. 600,000 is a very unrealistic amount of credits to trade for a stitch hat or anything else in vmk for that matter!

Thanks for replying. As an avid trader I will agree completely with you that there is no set value on things and everything varies based on the people involved. I used firewalls because they generally hold a fairly agreed upon value in the trading community ranging from 15K-20K. It is very true that during times when everyone is desperate for credits, they have gone for less, but I think we can agree those are the exception.

I am not sure that I would let it go for this as 28 and 15K is the low end, but if you are interested, using those figures for the math:
28*15,000 = 420,000. This seems to be going too low, but let me know if you are interested and I will think about it.

While I agree that this seems like a crazy amount for a trade, broken down that seems to be what would be the very low side of a fair stitch hat. I am not attempting to over-inflate any values as you suggested, just thinking through what a fair credit trade would be for my stitch since you are looking.

Again, if you are interested, let me know and I'll consider it.

Well very sadly I guess none of this makes any difference anymore.
I'm sure most have heard about VMK closing, how sad indeed! Many of the kids were so incredibly sad this afternoon when the news came out, yes, I was too.

Enjoy your last month of play and your vmk friends. We are all wearing Black on Tuesday to mourn Disney's decision to close down VMK.

I had heard this news a while back but I guess I didn't want to believe the source, I guess he was very accurate indeed. He seemed to know exactly what was coming, and he said it would be soon. Darn it! He was right!
