Credits/Credit Card ?

So much has changed since I last used the dining plan....Can someone clarify for me?

I know our dining credits are "pooled". So, when I go to "pay" for 3 meals, I need to give them just 1 key right? Then they decuct the appropriate number of credits. I don't seriously have to stand in line with 3 keys to pay for 3 lunchs right? LOL

Assuming that is correct, is it possible to have my CC linked to JUST my room key (not my DH's) and then use JUST my DH's to "pay" for meals. So there is no chance of them charging a CC or the room?

And I know I saw this before, but can't seem to find it, but when we are dining with another party (under a seperate reservation) that also has the DDP - there is no charge for them to split the check correct?

Right, you only have to use one card to charge any number of meals on your DDP.

I'm fairly sure that you can have certain room keys linked to room charge and have "no room charges" on some room keys. I know that they do this for kids' keys (so kids can't charge to the room!), so I would guess that they could do this with any guest.

I don't know about the split check, but I would just let your server know before you order "we are on the DDP and we will need separate checks". I don't see why they wouldn't!

Correct on all counts. For the split check, just please be sure your server is aware of the split - and whose meal goes on which check - before you order.

If you do this, how do you intend to handle the tip? Or do you intend to use DH room key for CS and yours for TS?

IIRC you have to sign for any charges to your room, so I wouldn't worry too much about unwanted charges.

I really wouldn't worry about having charging on just one card. You will be able to tell on the receipt if you were charged credits or not. The number of remaining credits will be on the bottom of the receipt.
