we are going to the world next friday and just had to cancel one person on our ressie. the phone cm said that the price difference would just be put on my room as a credit to use when we get there. i can't really find anyone who has gotten this, do they do this? or will they just send me a refund? sorry if this is in the wrong place.

I'm sure the CM was trying to be helpful since you are arriving so soon. The credit would be available for you to use (charging privileges) immediately on arrival. If they were to credit this back to your credit card, it could take much longer. If you don't use the credit before you finish your visit, you can ask for it to be credited to your credit card at that time.

If you won't be using charging privileges, you can just ask for the credit to your credit card right away, but it could be up to one full credit cycle before you see it.

Not to worry- Disney knows down to the penny just how much money has changed hands or needs to change hands on any reservation. ;)

Wow I never knew they did that.....good to know.

Is this a package? I don't believe Disney leaves credits on packages only on room only's . I would pull up your reservation online tommorrow or Monday to check for the credit. If it has a zero balance that means they have credited back your account.

This happened to us before, our room was paid for and then the discounts came out so they applied the discount and it resulted in a credit on my room. When we checked in they told us we could use the room card to use up the credit or it would be credited to my card when we checked out

We wound up using the room charge for dining etc and that took care of it.

good to know. we will end up using the credit as well to buy mnsshp tix for sept 11 and use the rest for souvenirs and stuff.
