How exactly does the credit card policy for Cinderella's Royal Table (and experiences like the Spirit of Aloha luau) work? When do they charge you? Do they not charge you at all (just use the credits on the DP you're on) assuming you show up at the time of your ressie? I have ressies for both these places, but had to make them several months ago and don't remember how it works. Little concerned about having the meal costs for my party charged to that card ahead of time. Those places aren't cheap, lol!

TIA.

They use a CC to hold the ressie.
When you get to the podium, tell them you have DDP - give them your KTTK card and they will charge your DDP credits and not your credit card.

Caveat:
If you do not cancel with in 48 hours prior to your ADR, and you do not show up for your ADR, then your credit card will be charged.

Oh thank goodness. This was the way I hoped it worked. It had just been so long since I made the ressie that I couldn't be sure if that was what they said, or only what I wanted to remember! :lmao:

Thanks so much!

If you are not on a dining plan, you will be charged in full for the entire party at the time you book the reservation.

If you are on a dining plan you should be able to book with the notification that you are on a dining plan, and you will need to leave a credit card guarantee. This doesn't always work when booking online. Make sure you are not being charged anything before you complete the transaction online. If you can't get it to work and it keeps trying to charge you in full, make the reservation by phone.

If you don't cancel (the policy at this time says "at least a day in advance" but if you made the reservation before October 26, when the policy changed, it might be longer) and don't show up, you will be charged the ENTIRE AMOUNT that you either prepaid, or that you would have prepaid if you are on a dining plan. In other words, you lose your entire payment if you prepaid, or you will be charged for the meal (in money, not dining credits) if you didn't.

If you have already prepaid for the meal, and want to pay using dining credits instead, tell the server that when you arrive. The prepayment will be refunded and dining credits used to pay.
