Credit cards now accepted at MK and Epcot 'carts'

Isn't it great Dan? I just went to MK last month with just my pass and debit card. I really wanted an ice cream as I was doing my usual people watching. I stood and talked to the ice cream vendor for a while and said "I wish you guys took debit cards. I don't wanna walk all the way to the ATM machine to get a 20 dollar bill just for one ice cream. Create some magic for me. Turn this thing into an ATM for 60 seconds, I want an ice cream sandwich.

She opened the little door pulled out an ICS and said I don't do magic but I can grant wishes. She then asked for my card processed it and I was eatin' ice cream -- yeah!

Does that mean you can do room charges too?

Yes!!

Guests can now use their Credit and Resort Charge cards to make purchases at any outdoor cart location in the Magic Kingdom and Epcot. A new wirless network has enabled card-based purchases to outdoor locations.

Thank the Good Mouse....I can't tell you the number of times DH and I split with the kids only to figure out that I forgot to grab some $$ for my pocket for treats at those carts! I love that they'll take the room card! Yeah!!!!

A crazy question what do you need cash for then? We are trying to plan how much cash we need for our trip in June.

Some people don't use credit cards.

But I believe you can put down extra cash to create a line of credit when you check in, and use your room key to charge. If you do this then you won't need cash.
