credit cards in DL and DCA

Are credit cards accepted anywhere in the parks, or for smaller things like, for example, a corn dog from the little red cart need cash instead?

We usually do most purchases with a credit card, so just trying to figure out how much cash to bring.

I know I bought hot cocoa from the stand near Casey with a credit card as well as Dole Whips. But I think when we bought popcorn and churros it had to be cash. Can't remember about the corn dogs, sorry.

To be safe, I'd carry some cash also. We do most purchases with cc's also, and don't carry that much cash in the parks, but there are some places that are cash only, so you will need some.

You can use cards at the Red Wagon.... I only remember because I room charged 35 corn dogs on my last trip! (no not all for me)

You can use cards; gift, debit or credit, almost everywhere. Not with wandering balloon salesmen, and some of the carts that show up in the middle of pathways at night with light up toys.

yea cards can be used throughout the parks resteraunts. Like someone else said you should carry some cash in case you want something from one of the carts that dont take CC. I usually carry maybe 40 bucks cash and dont usually use much of it. My CC is my main payment method at DL.

If you don't have cash and want something from a cart that doesn't accept credit, you can use your credit card to buy Disney dollars. These are sold at City Hall and oftentimes some of the shops such as the Emporium and Star Traders. You can use Disney dollars at carts that don't take credit cards.

I usually buy Disney Dollars first thing when I enter Disneyland, then use them throughout the day. Its kinda fun to use Disney money. However, back to the question, the red Corn Dog Cart takes credit cards. I know because I made an impulse buy there the other day an used my Mastercard.

I think this may be what my DH is looking forward to the most. He has been talking about the giant corn dogs since we went 7 years ago. He said if he won the lottery he would fly down there just for a corn dog. lol.

Is there still a bank at DL? If so, you could always, in an emergency, go there and get an advance on your credit card.
In the past, we have purchased travelers checks and then each morning we went to the bank and turned some in for cash.

The bank is gone, but you may be able to do this a city hall or Guest services.
