I was wondering if the restaraunts, food carts, and places like that accept credit cards at WDW. I was thinking of taking a prepaid Visa card when I visit instead of traveler's checks and I'm just checking to see if it can be accepted throughout all of the parks.

Thank you for your help.

I'm not aware of any restaurant (sit-down or counter service) that does not take credit cards, so you should have no problems there. I do not believe that the 'cart vendors' (ice cream, drinks, etc.) take credit cards, though. You'll probably want to have some cash on hand for that.

Oh, and WELCOME to the DIS!

You do need cash for the "cart" vendors. Everything else accepts credit cards...:)

Got it. That's what I thought...but I just wanted to be sure. Thanks for your help.

If you use the prepaid visa make sure you keep track of how much is left on the card, I work in retail and I see alot of these cards go through and if you get down to your last few dollars and dont know the exact amout left on the card and you go over, the card will be declined.

most food carts CAN accept cards now thanks to new wireless technology :D :bounce:

That's right, just about every small cart now has the wireless credit card scanners. It works out nicely.
