Do most of the restaurants/snack vendors/merchandise stores accept cc? I am not thrilled about caryying too much cash...what do you guys normally do?

You can also put your credit card on your room key if you are staying at a Disney resort. That makes things so super easy, then you only have the one card to carry around. Don't forget that almost anything you purchase can be delivered to your resort for free. :cool1:

Are you staying in one of the Disney hotels? If you are, you can set it up so that you can charge everything to your room key and pay for it with your credit card when you check out. That's what we do.

Yup - if you are staying onsite they give you a "Key to the World" card - it's your room key, park entry ticket AND you can opt to put charging priveledges on it, you can also limit how much per Key. So say you have teens, with their own Key, they can charge up to $25 per day, or whatever amount, on their card... It's nice not having to carry cash - and the Key is accepted everywhere Disney as far as I know.

We have always registered our credit card at check in so that we can charge everything to our room key. :thumbsup2 You only have one card to keep track of makes it so much easier and you don't have to worry about having alot of cash on you, or giving money to the children. Each person gets a room card so you can set a charge limit on the children's card if they are traveling with you, and you can check by the card number to see who charged what once you get your bill printed. If something should happen and you misplace the card or it stops working you just call the front desk and they will replace it.

And like it was said before you can have your purchases sent to you room so you aren't walking around with an arm full of bags. That way you can enjoy the "Magic". How much easier can it get? :tink:

Just wanted to mention that there is a limit still placed on your room card depending on what type of resort you stay at (I cannot find the details right now). It used to be @$500 for values so you may have to stop down and tell them to charge your card to clear up space on your room card.

It is so easy. Have fun!

I'm not sure what kind of limit they use; I know when we stayed at a moderate, we charged somewhere around a thousand dollars without a problem. Really, unless you are going to be hitting it in a BIG way, you won't have a problem.

I had a question on this. You can go to the front desk at your resort and check your balance whenever you want correct? I am worried about going overboard on the card and not knowing/keeping track of how much everyone is spending.

I believe is used to be value $500, mods @$1000, deluxe $1500 but dont quote me on that, just wanted to make people aware that they exist regardless of how much credit you have open on your credit card. Also I think you can easily hit is if you are doing sit down meals for a family of 4. We did Japanese steakhouse for lunch last trip and it was close to $200, so it jsut depends on what your plans are...

Yes, you can check there and you can give or not give charging priviledges as well so if you have older kids that you do not want to charge, jsut dont put the charging priviledge on there.

I also love the KTTW cards for the safety factor. If you lose that card it can be cancelled immediately and a new one reissued. If you lost a CC it would be easy enough to cancel but you'd be left w/o a card for a day or so....not convienent if you only travel with one CC.
