Do you need a credit card when you go to Florida or is a Debit Card any good?. What ID do you need?.
Thanks

I think as long as it has the VISA logo on it they'll take it. To be honest I've only ever used a credit card. I have been asked for ID in Disneyland when paying by credit card but not in Walt Disney World.

However if I am trying to use any discounts by using my annual pass then I have to show ID however I pay.

The ID would be picture ID - driving license or Passport

I was there last week and used various credit cards and a debit card without any problems. Also, I was never asked for ID when I obtained discounts with my Annual Pass. In fact in DTD I claimed an AP discount on one occaision without even showing my AP!

We use our debit card for everything except renting a car. Most car rental companies won't take a debit card. Some might but most won't so that was the only thing we needed a credit card for. Everything else, with the exception of using cash to buy from some of the food carts, we used our debit card. Not once were we asked for ID of any sort and most of the time they didn't even look at the signature on the card. They scanned the card then gave it right back to us before the credit slip was printed.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe they take your debit card and use it as a credit card because I don't recall any of the places asking us to enter a pin number.

Thanks for the replies. Feel better now as i heard that you must have a credit card in the US. for most things.
Thanks again
Andy
