Credit card reward program?

Since the Disney reward program isn't offered in Canada is there is there any other reward credit card that people use to save up for a disney trip?

I use Mosaik mastercard. You get 1 airmile for every $15 spent. You only need 1600 airmiles to fly for round trips. Also you can get tickets with airmiles too.

Moasik also has a prepaid mastercard tht earns you airmiles!

I have an RBC Avion, you get 2 points per $. i think it is 30,000 per ticket to MCO. Also I think you can convert Esso Extra to Avion. I put all my bills etc on it and it add up fast.

We've been using the Starwood Mastercard for SPG points. Honestly it's the best program we've seen for helping with costs at WDW. For us, we've stayed at the Swan and Dolphin and really enjoy staying there. With this Mastercard you gain SPG points that go towards free nights or upgrades at a Starwood property. We now have close to 40,000 points for our next trip and that will give use 5 free nights at the Swan or Dolphin. Nice!!

For us to just go and book 5 nights at the Dolphin would cost easily $1000-$1500. So it's well worth it.

I use Diner's Club MasterCard and the BMO Air Miles MasterCard. I usually try to put as much as I can onto my Diner's Club and then use the BMO for everything else. I like the Diner's Club a bit more because when you book tickets with it, there are no seat restrictions like with Aeroplan - this means you can book tickets as long as there are seats available. I always found it a bit of a pain to book Aeroplan/Air Miles tickets months ahead of time.

On Diner's Club, you get 1 point/$1 and a ticket to Disney or anywhere in North America up to $800 is 30,000 points. You only have to pay for the taxes but if you have extra points, you can use those instead of cash. I also like that it has the CDW insurance included as well. Pretty handy, except that I usually end up driving so I'm trying to get an extra card for my fiance

I have to echo what Andy said above regarding the Starwood Mastercard through MBNA.

Redflagdeals did a comparison of the different Canadian "rewards" cards and this was easily their best bang-for-your buck card.

Great feedback. There is another thread open right now on this topic.

I feel that, although it may be a great card, if you cannot consolicate ALL of your earnings to one program you are leaving $$$/pts/miles on the table. However, if this card best matches your spending, travel and partner participation, it may just as well be best for you.

Our family spends about $800/mo on fuel, and this equates to 17K+ Aerplan miles annually by filling up as Esso and paying by Aerogold. Add in car rentals, hotel stays, Air travel on AC, etc... the Starwood would probably not work best in our case.
