Credit Card Help

Does anyone out there work for a credit card company? I keep getting a call from BOA for months now saying there is a change in the status of my account. I have a low rate and for months nothing has changed. I am afraid to talk to them because I do not want my rate to go up. Has anyone else received these calls or does anyone have any inside info on what it may be about?

They're calling for a reason. They need to speak to you. The only way you'll get an answer to your question is by talking to the CC people.

Ignoring their phone calls will not stop them from changing your rate if that's what they want to do.

Go online, find the 1(800) number for your credit card customer service, call them and find out what is going on. Also, you can check for changes and customer notices in your cc's online banking website.

And be careful...just because in a phone-call someone "says" they are from Bank of America doesn't mean they are actually from Bank of America. It could be a scam. The calls could also just be in reference to the changes by Federal law about what needs to be put on all credit card statement...those changes just started showing up on my most recent statements.

I agree with agnes, fiance goes through BoA and has NEVER in the 6 years we have lived together received a phone call about his credit card, he always get letters if anything. I would call the number on your statement or call the customer service number on BoA's website. Something sounds fishy to me, someone might be trying to get all your info.
And look at it this way, if I *WAS* from BoA and was calling you for months now and not getting any reply, then I would be sending you out a letter trying to contact you, KWIM?
