Credit card guarantee for California Grill

Imagine my surprise when I made dining reservations for California Grill and found out that they now require a credit card guarantee! If you don't cancel 24 hours prior or don't show up you are now charged $20 per person! The Cm told me this was new as of January 1st. What other changes do I need to know about???
