Credit card for reservations

I know that they do not charge your card in advance, but do they put a hold on it for the ten dollars?

nope you get charged $10 a person if you dont show up for the reservation..

They will do a $1 temporary charge, per reservation, but that will get removed in a couple days. Many places do this to verify that the card exists. If there's no balance for whatever reason, it will get rejected (yup, noticed that after I miscalculated on my own and realized that $200 + $400 doesn't equal $500.

The $1 temp charge depends on your credit union/bank. Disney processes the card number you give for authorization and for some banks, this means putting through a $1 on it and refunding it.
