Im making our own ADR's through the MDE app, but I noticed on my CC statement now I have all these $1 charges from Celebratiob FL. It reads as room internet charges, but wondering if they are just trying to pre-authorize our card. I just wanted to ask here before flipping out and calling the CC company to cancel my cards.

It's a check to make sure the card you RSVPed with is valid in case they need to bill the no-show fee. You're not actually being charged $1. It's just a pre-authorization that disappears in a day or so. There's only like one or two places that actually bill in advance (I think). Cinderella's Royal Table and HDDR. Maybe the luau as well.

I don't remember ever getting the $1 pre-authorization charge. Make sure that it doesn't post. If it posts I would probably cancel the card as it could be fraudulent charges. It isn't uncommon for them to charge $1 to test the card and then they use it for real once they know an unauthorized dollar made it through.

That's what I'm worried about, especially since Disney says it won't charge until the night of the ADR or no show happens.
Def keeping an eye on it

The room internet charge is what is a red flag for me. If it was for dinning I would expect it to say dinning authorization or credit card authorization not internet charge. I've had my CC number stolen so many times (mostly in Orlando at runDisney events actually) that Bank Of America assigned me an account reviewer for awhile. Every single charge had to be approved through text and an accountant actually looked over each charge. It was frustrating to say the least.

I've made lots of Disney reservations and I don't ever remember seeing any $1 charges. Even then, why would you have so many? Wouldn't they just test the card once?

One would think. But it almost looks they they are charging per reservation.

Definitely the luau, and it's really clear before you finalize the reservation that they're charging the card (at least, if you make the ADR's online) - it'll show you the total to be charged, etc. If you don't see a total before finalizing the reservation, they're not actually charging you.

I also saw a slew of $1 preauthorizations on my CC immediately after making my ADRs this week. Most definitely one for every ADR, and all were ordinary ADRs like Kona Cafe, not pay-in-advance dinners. They all read "WDP&R Room Internet" from Celebration, FL.

To see them, I had to open the "pending charges" tab of my online CC Statement, or else I never would have known they were there.

I assumed this was just Disney pinging my card to be sure it was valid. None of these charges have actually been billed to my account.

I have been seeing them on AMEX as well. They don't hit the bill so assuming they were just the hold for the reservation. My app pops it up every time I make/change a reservation

Yep it's on my AMEX card.
Still in 'pending' status so I'll continue to watch it.

Mine are all reg ADR's as well. Only thing that caught me off guard was 'Room Internet' I would've thought it would ping as 'Dining' or 'Reservation' something to that effect wouldn't have made me blink an eye.. But Room Internet kind of sets off the red flags.

Good to know I'm not alone hopefully it's all legit.

I don't know why, but sometimes it's happened to me and sometimes not. They've fallen off eventually.

I wouldn't worry about it much.

Happens every time I book any dining with Disney. It always disappears. On my card it hangs in Pending and if I don't go and look at the pending charges I would have never even seen them.

I've noticed the $1 pending charges on our card after making the ADR. They fall off after a day or two...we've never been actually charged.
