Credit card as deposit for BCV?

We recently called our agent regarding the possibility of purchasing additional points at BCV. We were told that there would probably be a 10-12 month wait and that we needed to give our credit card information in case something showed up (500.00 deposit). Anyone have experience with this?

I called to get on the waitlist and was told the exact same thing. SOunds like we may have the same guide. We like BCV also and were told it could be 10-12 months especially if we are asking for a specific use year.

Not sure what you are asking but the credit card deposit is standard procedure. They won't charge you the $500 deposit until they get your points for you.

In November we went on the WL for 50 points @ BCV Aug use year. We were asked to give our CC number and told it wouldn't be charged the $500 until the points came through. Two weeks ago, our guide left a message that the points came through and a few days later our CC was charged. I, too, was surprised at how fast our points cleared the WL. Good luck to all who are waiting. BTW, our price was $92/point.

I may be wrong, but I think under Florida law you have a certain number of days to cancel a timeshare agreement. So to answer your question, I think the answer is "yes" you would get your money back.
