Credit back for CRT

I paid for CRT in March for our September vacation. Then in April, I signed up for free dining, and I was told they would process a credit back on my credit card, and that it would take several cycles. I still have not yet received the credit (I've already received my bill for July).

This week, I had to call Disney Dining for another matter, and I asked the CM to look at my CRT ressie. She said that it was now listed as being under the DDP. She seemed surprised when I said I hadn't received my credit yet. I'm assuming it's still in process?

However, now I don't want the credit anymore (I want to leave it OOP) as I'd rather save my DDP credits for a signature restaurant. My question is, if the credit does show up on my credit card before our trip, can I pay OOP at the restaurant or do I have to prepay everything over the phone again?

Alternately, if I still haven't received a credit on my credit card before September, will I have a hard time at CRT since they will have me listed as using the DDP, even though it's already paid for? Should I bring a copy of my credit card statement to prove my payment with no credit?
