Creative way to give gift cards?

My DS is only getting gift cards this Christmas. I am trying to think of ways to wrap them that will make it more interesting when his siblings are opening actual gifts. I have done the puzzle maze cube the past couple years, and need something new. He will be getting gift cards to Regal Cinemas, Fandango, XBox Live, Dairy Queen, Coldstone, Baskin Robins, TGIF Fridays, Google Play, and Speedway. He already has a wallet, or I would get him one and put a couple in it.

I am giving my DS's teacher gift cards for Christmas and I am putting them into envelopes and tying them inside an umbrella. (A take on putting dollar bills inside and saying something for a rainy day.)

You could do layers of boxes and either have a gift card in each layer or put them all in the final layer.

Picture frame, business card holder, hide a few in a deck of cards like Uno, attach one inside candy bar wrapper

My husband and I give "dates" each year for Christmas. When I got a Redbox card for him I packaged it with a container of popcorn. Fandango was packaged with a movie theater candy box etc. It's nice because it gives him something to open. Some probably wouldn't work for your son - I would do a bottle of wine with a restaurant gift certificate - but there's one idea for you!

My girls are getting a few and I made them a paper wallet holding a few cards , not for permanent use of course just decorative, but they are cute. I made my little one a paper purse too to hold one of hers, but probably not something your son would like ;)

I wrap restaurant gift cards in new clean takeout containers preferably from the restaurant where I got the card. I just ask if I buy in restaurant.

Ooh, that would be cute, especially if you want him to have multiple gifts to open. (Although I LOVE the umbrella idea! I may have to steal that one sometime.)

You could tape the movie gc to a box of candy. I'm sure DQ would give you a chicken strip box, Baskin Robbins might give you an empty pint container, etc. Maybe package the Speedway gc with a car air freshener? Not sure about Google Play. If it's for his phone, does he need any accessories? (extra charger, new case, earbuds)

Even though he already has a wallet, I bought another wallet for ds. The wallet has 3 credit card sections and a bill section. I put a label on the wallet box that reads "Broke College Student Emergency Kit"

Section 1 - "I've got a date, but I already spent my allowance"
- Movie and restaurant gift cards

Section 2 - "Having a Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day"
- Coffee, Ice Cream, Fast Food, Bookstore and Steam gift cards

Section 3 - "I need to get home - STAT"
- Gas, fast food cards

My in-laws gave us a gift card tree last year. It was a small nicely decorated Christmas tree with gift card "ornaments".

I've seen a lot of people making snow globes with gift cards inside :D They might be a but more pricy, but it's a great way to add a little flair in my opinion :)

I love the idea of the emergency wallet and the gift card tree.

I think that I might do a scavenger hunt this year for the gift cards that Santa will leave. Does anyone care to share their clues to help generate ideas?
