are you doing anything creative for your Disney trip? Are you bringing scrapbooks to have characters sign or just autograph books they sell there? I need ideas on what to do that is cute and memorable. Thanks.

2 trips ago(last October) I made an autograph book for dd who was turning 3 while we were there. I had a spot for the signature and a spot for a pic with that character. Ariel actually commented how she loved the book:) I'm trying to come up with something else to make this time, along with another book for her. I'm thinking of doing family shirts since her 2 grams will be along.

very cute! I was thinking family shirts too!

Yeah like with Mickey or Minnie silhouettes and names on them. My mother in law suggested it last trip but I didn't have time! Post later if you do decide...it'll be interesting to see :)

So I can't believe I forgot...our last trip in April I made Mickey/Minnie ears for our stroller! It's a black BJ city select. And I made sippy cup lanyards for my ds who was 10 months at the time! The stroller came out so freakin cute! If I can find a pic and attach it I will. I'm new to these boards so Idk how to do it. Lol

Sounds cute! I would love to see a pic...I don't know how to attach one either! lol

I got the idea somewhere on DIS to have characters sign the mat to a photo frame. I went to Michaels and chose a pre-matted frame and clipped the mat on a clipboard (which we kept with sharpies in a ziploc bag). I bought two frames and they both turned out super cute and are hanging in our living room where we can see them all the time!
I think next year we are going to do pillowcases or t-shirts. :)

First, howdy neighbor :wave2: I'm right down route 30 in New Lenox.

What size photo mat did you use and were they damaged in your bag at all? We want to do the same thing, but I really don't know how big to get and how to keep them from being damaged while we carry them in a backpack. Any advice? Thanks!

I found a bunch of really cute ideas for t-shirts on Pinterest. I especially like the tie dyed Mickey shirts & the bleach drip Mickey shirts. We will definitely be making these with the kids as soon as we spill the beans to them about the trip(We're telling them 30 days before we leave so we'll have time to do fun stuff). But I have been thinking of doing the bleach dip Mickey design to a pillow case & having the characters sign that. I was thinking of using a small pillow case that would fit on the throw pillows we already have on our couch & then they would be easier to carry around as well.

I also just ordered Mickey patterned duck tape from Amazon to put around the handles of our stroller so that it stands out in the sea of strollers. I would love to see the picture of your decorated stroller! I saw that some people have made signs but I never saw ears on a stroller! I bet it was adorable!

This is DisMommaof2's DH. Here is the photo of the stroller she put a lot of time and heart into!

I have to find the rest somewhere.

First... Hello to Chicago Heights & New Lenox... I'm further north in Rolling Meadows.

This will be my first trip to WDW. It will just be me and my Future DH. I've been thinking about trying my hand at a homemade autograph book. I refuse to buy one as they are so darn expensive. Looking for great ideas and suggestions. :)

We have did shirts for past trips. We made our own tye dye Mickey shirts. I also got a friend to embroider shirts for the kids.

To get ready for trips we would do a countdown paper chain. The kids loved taking a link off each day.

We have did autograph books in the past. We have also had the characters autograph a photo matte. Although we did that one on a Disney cruise. I think it would be a bit more difficult to do that in the parks. I have also heard of people having the characters autograph pillowcases.

For our upcoming trip I made a Mickey wreath for the front door and painted a Mickey and a Minnie flower pot. Found those ideas on pinterest.
