Creating a luggage tag... question

I've seen some of the wonderful work done here and it's inspired me. I was thinking of making my own luggage tags. I don't have any problem making up a design. Where I'm stymied is what to do with it when it's done.

Do people just print these on card stock and stick them in a plastic cover? Or is laminating them enough to survive the airport luggage movement system?

What other options are people using?

Hi Hon
I usually just print on cardstock and laminate the tags 2-3 times then punch a hole in them.
I use bright colored ribbon to tie it onto my bag.
I know at many printing shops you can buy a plastic sleeve to put the tag into.
I even make them for my laptop.
Mine usually last a few years or I get bored with the design and make a new one.
Have fun designing.
Hugs Mel

Thanks. Do you use a home laminator or take it somewhere to get it done? I was wondering if Staples might do a better job than my home laminator, which seems flimsy.
