Crazy's Pre Trip Report.....

I'm planning a 7 day quick jaunt to DL starting Jan 30. Who I am bringing this time: Me, DW, DD(6), DS(3), My mom, My Father in Lay, My Mother in Law. We are getting 2 standard rooms at GCH, connecting and close to the elevators if possible because my DW and her mother are not the fastest walkers. I though I'd start out with the Walt Disney Travel Company (WDTC) Disney Rewards Visa Card (DRVC) package unboxing. People liked this last time I did this back in Oct 08 so i though I'd do it again...

Whats in the box?

I actually got 2 of them since I booked 2 packages for 7 people. It's bigger than last time!

That's why!!! They put the DRVC backpack in the box now. Last time they put a voucher in there and we would have to pick it up at the WDTC office in Downtown Disney. Also it's an actual backpack this time. Last time it was a sling which I actually liked better.

Hey luggage tags nice! One for each traveler. 3 in the other box!

Ahh the magical envelope... Guard it with your life!

The welcome letter... blah blah...

VIP eh? Got bunch of discounts on the other side... 10% off here 15% off there etc..etc..

A photopass card... I guess they stick it in there so we can go on the site and pre-register. BTW I love photopass!

Ahh the hoppers... Our keys to the kingdom!

MTTMM Passes... Been there 3 times with these in hand and never made it over there to see the Madness. probably wont happen this time either!

Preferred Seating passes... Again... we have been 3 times and have never used these either... There has never been anything at Hyperion theater when we were there before so maybe we can use em for Aladdin? We'll see...

South Coast Plaza? How did this get in there? I don't wanna go to no crappy mall!

Hey more lanyards... I wonder what color they are this year?

Ok whats not in the box? There used to be a coin... Oh well... I don't even know where my other coins are anyways. There also used to be a Downtown Disney coupon book for 10%-20% off some of the stores there... Oh well.. didn't use those either!

Thanks so much for posting this!!!! I am expecting a "packet" within the next week and was wondering what would be in it. The girl on the phone mentioned the backpacks but I thought she said we would get them when we check in.

So is that how most Travel agancies do it or just disney. If there is a 70 dollar difference between Disney and and Getaway would it be worth it to pay the 70 dollars to get anything that was in the box? Thanks for the pics though! Great idea! Oh BTW just me and hubby first week of March.

I'd suggest opening it when you first get it to make sure everything is in there. That way they still have 3 weeks to fix things!

I would pay an extra $70 so that I could get my parkhoppers ahead of time... Especially if you want to use your magic morning on the first day. You don't want to spend the first half hour of your only magic morning waiting for the ticket booths to open to get your hoppers!
