I had to look twice to make sure I saw the wait time board correctly at Epcot today at 2pm. When I knew I was seeing clearly I had to take a photo. The CM said he NEVER saw the wait time that long for Soarin. Test Track was a close 2nd at 20 minutes less.

What do people do in line for that long??

YIKES!!!!

and where do they put all the people? are they extended down the escalator, out the building, and snaked around the world showcase?

There is NO way I'd give up that much park time to wait in line! I like Soarin, but not that much!!! I don't like any ride that much!!!

My daughter works at Soarin' and was there today and yes it was crazy busy. She said at one point the FP line was all the way to the queue greeter area (beginning of the line in the lobby).

She said there were some unhappy guests in line today.

And leaving to get out of the park she said it was absolutely mobbed crazy people shoulder to shoulder.

I'd totally be going to the Circle of Life show.

As for your question about what people do in lines that long...they probably complain mostly.
I've seen people complain in lines that are only 15 minutes long...

We were at Hollywood Studios the 30th for a day trip and the wait time for RRC was about 160 min :scared1:

But was had a good time we did Back lot tour / American Idol 1st show & last show. Star Tours / Movie Ride two time in the day / Extreme Stunt Show /

And seen the Osborne Lights and then we did Sci-Fi Dine-In had a great time and was home by midnight :thumbsup2

Ron.

I can't believe Ellen's Universe of Energy at 40 minutes :scared1:!! Now that is beyond crazy. Even Spaceship Earth at 70 minutes. We go in March and never have had to wait this long for either of these rides. Wow what a busy day!!

Yeah Liz it was shoulder to shoulder....it was super crowded. Not my kinda Disney that's for sure. Walked around a bit then snuck out the back door to hit Boardwalk around 7pm.

MK first thing tomorrow, 7am......gotta get on some rides before heading home Saturday. Today didn't cut it but it was expected.

LOL....I have to laugh at those times. We here who live by Cedar Point wait 2-3 hours for a ride all the time. There is no fp and you wait or don't ever ride. To me 40 mins ain't nothing. FP spoils you, at least it did for me. Now next summer when I am standing in Cedar Point lines I will be dreaming of fastpass....:lmao:

Yes, it's crazy busy here now! I knew it would be. Hope it doesn't take to long to get back to AKV after the fireworks. At least I'm not driving! Traffic has been crazy. Yesterday the bus driver took an alternate route to MK.

DH and I were just like 'wow those waits are so freaking long who would wait that long?" and then I read your post about cedar point (we live an hour away and within 15 minutes in the summer) and it just clicked that we always used to wait like 90 minutes or 2 hours for a ride at cedar point. :lmao: i guess disney does spoil people with FPs.

we had fast passes for Soarin and went in around 1:30 or so. The wait time listed for standby when we passed the sign was 295 minutes. Nuts. And when we commented as we were getting on the ride about it, the guy in front of me said he waited four hours for the ride. NO RIDE is worth four hours out of my day especially when FP is an option for another day.

Wonder why on earth they went to Disney during Christmas break

they would complain that Disney is a terrible place to go and they only got to ride one or 2 rides and were too crowded, and then they would talk smack to those of us who enjoy going to disney every year;)

Also, other places tend to have worse queuing areas than Disney.
I waited a few hours for the Superman ride at the Six Flags in Atlanta once and got some pretty bad heat sickness, because we were standing pretty much directly in the sun the whole time. We spent the whole day there, and my friend and I only rode maybe 3 rides, because after we rode Superman we decided to chill in the shops and take turns at the water fountain instead of being outside.

At Disney at least most of the queues are pretty well covered.

A four hour wait is insane. I guess some folks must be loving it though.

I don't care what kind of queing system anywhere has. I would NEVER wait four hours for anything!

Wow, even Journey Into Imagination had a line...

Yep... did you note that it was a longer queue then Nemo? :confused3

Wow, there is absolutely no ride that I would wait four hours for! As much as I would love to go to Disney for the holidays, I really don't think that I could make it through without going insane...
