i've been trying to make a ps now for a few days. yesterday i was on hold for 45 minutes before i hung up! :hourglass i'm tryting again today and have been on hold for quite some time. i think i have all the hold music songs memorized. :p

what gives? i don't remember such wait times in the past. :confused3

I called yesterday morning and waited for about 8 minutes. When I called this morning my wait time was less than 4 minutes. I did noticed that they ask if this is your first trip to WDW and it is for us. Maybe they route first timers faster?? :confused3

yeah i was wondering about that too - the last time we made ps's they didn't ask all thos questions at the beginning.

oh well - i finally got through and got close enough to the time i wanted, so i'm happy. :goodvibes

I don't think they let first timers through first. I have been told that the operators don't even know what your answers were that you punched in.
Sometimes I have waited for a very long time and sometimes it has been very quick. :confused3

Hmm...the operators must know something because "Betsy Lynn" recited my phone number back to me this morning!

yes i was waiting 45 minutes and give up next time i phoned i pressed and said it was my first time (lies) and got through almost straight away..

I pressed 1 for first time this morning at 7:20. I waited 40 minutes!

Yesterday I waited 1 hour and 45 minutes, and today I waited only 30. In the past my wait had been only about 3 or 4 minutes.

To make reservations for HDDR for upcoming trips called made reservations for May and December trips only took 5 minutes total.I got lucky it I think. :goodvibes :flower: :wizard:

We just got back from a short trip to the World, and making a PS was a nightmare over the phone, even when we pressed the "dining" button on the phone at the Boardwalk. I kept getting a message about how they were experiencing extremely high call volume or something. The wait was always at least 10 to 15 minutes to make the PS. That said, on Friday I had no trouble getting a table at Rose & Crown for lunch and Nine Dragons (or whatever it's called) for dinner without a PS.

So who is 90 days out right now? Everyone going end of May/beginning of June? Is that just an absolutely crazy busy time of year? We went over MLK weekend. We didn't decide to go until mid-November, and I was still calling to change PS's until about a week before we left. I NEVER had to wait more than a minute or two, and I called about 6 or 7 times. I guess when I get to 90 days I better know exactly what I want when I call or I will be on the phone for days! I certainly hope everyone who has been on hold for hours was able to get the PS's they were hoping for!! :wizard:

Sunday morning must be a good time to call. I just finished making my PS's in less than five minutes for mid-March. No wait time on phone this AM! :Pinkbounc Gail

If you have an AP, try using Passholder Services for your PS's. We will make a lot of last minute dinner plans if we are in the Disney area and will sometimes forget Passholder Services and call Disney Dining. When I get put on hold, then I usually remember to call Passholders Services and always get right through. (Now someone remind me to ALLWAYS call Passholder Services!)

I just called and only waited 3-4 minutes. Just needed to add two lunches. Easter weeks are filling quickly.

DH got through this morning at 6:59 ---- then he passed the phone to me. Yippee, we got CRT! But I was on hold until 7:20. I kept telling DH that it couldn't take 20 minutes per call. Truly, I was off the phone by 7:24, and the CM and I had verified everything. We had to have been some of the first people in the call queue. DH was teasing me that they probably only had 2 operators. LOL.

I think all the extra questions they are asking are just to gather data. I really don't think they would treat "first-timers" any differently than repeat visitors. (At least, please let me keep thinking that way.)

I must be lucky. I called and made my final PS this morning and had zero wait time. After I answered all the questions my line was picked up immediately! I didn't even get to hear any music! :cool1:

How do you get PS's with the AP thingy? What's the number for Passholders? I should call there b/c I've still got some PSes to change for next week!!

I called this morning at about 9:30 EST and had no wait.

I had about a 25 minute wait last Saturday, but finally got through. I made my DD phone sit for a while for a $1 every ten minutes ;)
