Crazy Ticket Question

First, I have been to UO many times and have always stayed on site. We are doing a Sea World vacation in Sep and I might surprise the family with an overnight at Royal Pacific, which gets us two days of express pass.

I was looking at two day tix on Undercover Tourist and noted they "give" a third day free. My family will easily spend an entire day+ at UO proper, but they like a few things at IofA as well. We have done Hogwarts train and feel no need to do it again.

So, my crazy question: if I purchase base tickets for two days, getting the third free - can I spend the first day at UO, start day 2 at IofA, then in essence use my third day ticket to finish day two at UO to hit our favorites before I head back to Sea World hotel?

It saves over a hundred dollars for a family of four, and an actual third day is just not an option in the schedule.

TIA

No, one park a day means just that. You could use your third day to repeat the Studios. And correct, you'd need park hoppers to ride the train or to switch parks during the day.

So Day 1 Studios, Day 2 IOA, Day 3 Studios. Cannot use base tickets to enter the other park during the day you pick the other park.

You can only use one day of each ticket per day. You can't use day 2 and day 3 on the same day. The reason for that is that the multi-day ticket is more expensive than the single day ticket. The parks would lose money if they let you do that. It is the same at WDW.

I appreciate the responses, but not exactly true at WDW. I have on multiple occasions purchased vacation packages with 7 day base tickets and selected water parks and more instead of park hopper. Thus, I have spent days at water parks or at resort and used my 7 day base tickets as "park hopper" and visited multiple parks in a day. Each time I enter the gate, I use a day. Visit 3 parks in a day (which I have never done, lol), use 3 days of tix. As long as I didn't exceed the 7 days of park admission and 7 days of "WP and more", I was good.

At UO, a single day park hopper is $151 and change and a two day base is closer to $160. So, anyone who can do math, would simply buy the park hopper. The park gains money if someone buys the base. Its the third day free option that switches the math, if you can only make it two days.

Anyways, I guess that makes doing the one night at Royal Pacific the better option and tell the kids to take advantage of UO with Express Pass to get their Transformers addiction satisfied, swim a bit on day 2 and visit IofA to do Seussland and the water rides!

Keep in mind that I order off the a la cart menu at our local Mexican restaurant because I can "build" the combo cheaper than the combo is on the menu. It's the CPA in me, I won't cheat and I follow the rules, but I will look for any savings I can!

I really think you are mistaken somehow. What you described just isn't allowed at Disney (or Universal). Unless you mean you've used your ticket to enter a waterpark and then later entered one of the main parks or visitted both water parks in one day... that would be allowed since the waterpark admissions are treated differently. There's no way to enter multiple of the main parks on one day on a multiday ticket without the parkhopper option.

You can't park hop on a non park hopper at WDW. Check out Cheshire Figment's response in this thread. He is the WDW ticket expert on the disboards.

What tickets are you using for Sea World? Maybe the 14 day Orlando Flex ticket would be a better option.

A 7 day no hopper with WPM gets you 7 days of the main parks. MK, AK, EP, DHS. With a non hopper you canNOT hop between those on a day. The turnstile won't allow it. The WPM on a 7 day ticket gives you 7 admissions (not days) to the minor parks and golf etc. you could hold and go to Disney quest and a waterpark all on one day and it would take off 3 admissions from the WPM part of your ticket. With that ticket you have two "pools" that are drawn from.

But without the hopper you can't go between main parks on one day and you cannot ever use two DAYS of main park admission on one day. Not at wdw and not at Uni.
