My 4-year old son HAS to be the Weather Hero each day.

What is the weather hero you ask? He/she is the person who goes outside to see if the others need to wear a coat that day.

He does NOT like it when his sister is the weather hero[ine] and has a meteorlogical meltdown.

All I get is the weather channel report from DD who is ADDICTED to the weather channel!

Well, here is a funny from last night.

we always wake my DS (8) up before we go to bed so he can go potty one last time. Normally he is pretty out of it, so I watch him pretty closely to make sure everything is going where it should.

Last night he seemed to be pretty awake. When he was finished he left the bathroom.

A minute later I went into his room to re tuck him in. He is not in there. I go to the living room. My husband is on the couch laughing, and my son is just wandering around aimlessly. I guess he wasn't as awake as I thought.

Since my son doesn't speak yet, my nephew provides the comic relief. When were on vacation, he ordered a hamburger for dinner. The waiter asked him how he wanted it done. His reply? "Not black".

We took our DD's to the beach for a weekend this summer. When we got to the ocean and in the waves my dd(8) turned around and said (pointint to the water):

" Is this place open 24 hours?"

That was the best laugh I had in a long time.
