Crazy Starbucks lines

I'm always surprised at the number of people willing to wait in line for 30 minutes for Starbucks inside the parks. At DCA today and the line was out the door. Of course, I was part of the problem (lol). It was 10am (park open at 9 with EE at 8). But those are the best cinnamon rolls I have every had in my life, I really wanted one, and we're here all week so I chose to stand in line. Still, I'm always surprised by the lines.

Never waited 30 min even to the door. The DCA Starbucks is the in the top two of fastest and most efficient Starbucks in the world.

...and if I don't get my coffee a 45 min wait in a standby ride line feels like 2 hours so I would consider even a 30 min wait a win!

Wish they had the Mobile Ordering like the DTD location!

Can I ask what other major cities and international locations you've been in? That has not been my experience at all. There are several in just the LA area that handle much higher volume due to large orders from studios and productions that do a much better job of making orders quickly and with better accuracy. Just last week I waited over 10 minutes for iced tea while several people who ordered after me got their drinks first. They didn't even shake it, when their own description says shaken 10 times. I also witnessed several drinks returned and have gotten the wrong size there twice myself. Meanwhile when I was traveling in Asia there were megastores that were like drink factories. Even in the Caribbean I was surprised by how fast and efficient everything was at American chain restaurants, especially given the "island time" excuse I sometimes encountered other places.

Yes, I love Starbucks, but I'm not willing to wait in line that long for it. We always ended up having pretty bad coffee in DCA.

We never waited that long. Even with long lines they moved fast and it took maybe 5 minutes in line and 10 minutes to get the coffee.

I remember my father waiting in really long lines to get those cinnamon rolls before rope drop when I was kid. This was back when there was an actual rope at the end of Main St. They were good, but no way I'd do that now. Especially with other food options at DTD now. And I guess I just got over cinnamon rolls in general at some point, unfortunately.

The line today was exactly 26 minutes from joining the line to getting my drink /food. I timed it because I was curious. Yesterday was much shorter, maybe 10 minutes, which is why I was surprised today. But yesterday the park opened at 7 for EE, so possibly more people had filtered through before I got there.
