So, this post is to see how many people I can make mad. :rotfl: Just joking! But, seriously, here is my question: Why do you parents take your 4 month old children to Disney World? If you have two children and one of those is older, then either wait until your little baby gets older OR leave your 4 month at home. I just don't understand this. :confused3 Maybe you crazy parents can explain this to me?

You need to quantify your question. Why would a 4 month old at Disney make you angry? Does it offend you? Do you think it's unjust to the baby? Or are you anti-baby? Anti-whole family? Anti-parents?

Why do you care and why woudl it be your business why someone decides to take their baby to DW.

Personally, we didn't leave our kids home as infants.

How many posts before this thread is locked?

I say 4 pages of posts.

Any takers? :lmao::rotfl2:

I have nothing to add to this thread, but, for some reason, that made me giggle.

I can think of a few reasons:

I met a woman on a bus that I was helping with her stroller and child who had an infant and young child... I want to say 2 1/2 with her. The reason was that her husbands entire family (20 something people total) all were going as a reunion. She said she would have perfered to wait until they were both older but as command perfomances for family go... Disney wasn't so bad!

Just from the number on this board that had trips planned then found out they were pregnant the other reason I may think of is you planned a trip for your 4 or 5 year old but hadn't told them yet, found out #2 was on the way and postponed so as to not go when you wouldn't be able to experience some of the childs first ride experiences. If you wanted until the child was no longer a baby... even at just like 2 the child would be 7 or 8 before they got to go... which by then won't really believe in the characters so if that was important I could see bringing a baby.

I don't mind babies at disney. I mind parents that don't take care of their childrens needs but babies in general are ok.

You may not have meant to sound quite so antagonistic, but you really do, so my answer is there are many, many reasons why "crazy parents" would bring their four month old to Disney...and none of them need to be explained to you.

I dont have kids, but I couldn't imagine leaving my 4 month old home while I went on vacation. He/she is just too young to be away from mama!

I am a little confused about your question. Are people just supposed to hang out at home till their kids are four or five or six? Granted a Disney trip is for the parents when they bring a baby that is too young to get it. My dh and I go to the beach, disney and NY every year. Are we just supposed to stop doing those trips until we have older kids? Granted I get the idea that it is a pain to have diapers and bottles and strollers particularly in Disney, but if you love it there (like we do), you change out how you tour for a few years.

My nephew is not born yet (due is 8 days ) and I am already planning his first trip next spring. :thumbsup2

Is that your answer?

Actually, Drew64 answered your question. To each his own...ours went when she was 9 months. She sure as heck doesn't remember a thing, but that was OUR trip and the pictures were great.

I didn't have to kids to leave them home nor did I have them to lock in their rooms until they reached some arbitrary acceptable age to begin travel.

To each his own.

Yeah, I don't see this thread getting better anytime soon.....

Babies at that age are very "portable". It is probably the easiest age--they sleep in the stroller, go anywhere, love the sights, can eat anywhere....

I'm taking my baby to Disney! I want to know why you care what I do? I know the baby wont remember and I know it will be hard, but this trip is about making memories that my husband and I will cherish forever. I was married at WDW and I can't wait to share that with my 1st child! But I don't see why this makes me crazy!?!

lol-Can't even ask a simple question these days?! :rotfl2:

Simple question: "Why would you take a 4 month old to Disney?"

Antagonistic question:

I don't understand what the problem is with taking an infant to Disney World. They can't go on the rides? They won't remember it? They're in the way? They need naps? They cry? I can't see what makes it a particularly bad place for a baby. And the only crazy parent I saw is the one that changed the baby on a bench in France and left the diaper on the ground - underneath a trash can. She couldn't be bothered to put the diaper into the trash can I guess.

We go to Disney as a family vacation. If a baby is part of our family, then baby comes too.

I think I get what you're saying, OP, but you did word it so as to get flamed.

IMHO, I wouldn't bring a new-born to WDW. I find it hard to believe they would have any memories of the trip, so I would assume its all about the parents needs. I don't really mind seeing babies at WDW, as long as they're being taken care of (ie. not left out too long in that wonderful Florida heat, for one thing).

I think it really comes down to "to each their own".

Ygnpreacherman, (what kind of preacher are you, anyway...hopefully not a youth pastor!), anyway, what age do you think is correct for a visit to WDW?

Just wondering...
