Crazy Lightning Picture: Seattle

We had an intense storm yesterday for 30 minutes or so. Lots of thunder and lightning, and at least at our house, tons of hail.

DH found this picture on a local news station web site today. It trips me out! I'm sure it's noting compared to what some of you guys see all summer/fall, but I think this picture is really neat. The big building in the front is the Washington Mutual building, and obviously the Space Needle is on the right.

Thats pretty cool I'm a weather dork, we like pictures like that. Of course as long as no one gets hurt.

That picture is amazing! The lighting hit near DH's work in Magnolia and caught three power poles on fire. We were driving up north and watched the temprature drop 5 degrees during the storm, the kids were hoping it would keep going and we would get snow!

DH called from downtown to say he was on his way home. I had DS2 down for a nap, but there was big, booming thunder shaking the house and I figured he'd be up and wailing any minute. I could hear the hail pelting DH's car through the phone! It was NUTS!
