Jebus this lady is NUTS! Does she not realize that a birthday cupcake will NOT cause obesity. People need to know how to eat in, say it with me now, moderation. This lady is freaking out about one cupcake for a birthday in school! If the kids eat healthy all the other time, why can't they have a cupcake?
Wow.

Bleh. Stuff like that really annoys me.
I mean, I can understand her point, but she's crossing a line.

p.s. Hey, Sonya. Long time no see :]

Her kids will probably become obese after they are out of her care!! What an idiot!

She's alienating these kids from junk food, which in time these kids may eventually rebel and start sneaking junk food. I think she should be teaching them that yes junk food is okay with moderation. Just a thought, maybe she should promote sports/excerise into her child's lives instead of taking away sweets/junk food.

that's alittle over the top. i mean, they dont get cupcakes every single day....

The number one thing I've learned from going on a diet, is that you can pretty much eat anything, as long as you don't go overboard. It's all about calories in vs. calories out.

::yes::
My thoughts exactly

She is crazy. I eat junk food and I only weigh 115 pounds. She should tell her kids in moderation. She is becoming a dictator over food.

Ugh. One of my relatives is like that. She makes all her own bread, has a garden, and is very strict about her kids' diets. They can't eat anything she doesn't approve of.

What this lady fails to realize is that somehow, she came from a family of obese people and is not obese herself. She managed to keep herself from becoming obese, so why not place the same amount of faith in her children.

What's going to happen is the same thing that happens to the kids who are kept from going to parties or even going out with their friends in high school. When they make the transition out of the house into college, they go wild and party every time they get invited-- but they don't know when to stop because they were never taught that. The same will happen with her kids. When they get out of the house, they're going to want to try all these foods that they haven't had before because mom said "no" and that's probably going to lead to a bad ending.

awesome, more junk food for the rest of us.

:rolleyes:
srsly. people like this annoy the crap out of me. theres one way to eat healthy, but this is just extreme. poor kids.

That's just...ugh:sad2:

She really should be teaching her children moderation. Let them have a little. If they go to a friends house and there's Cheetos there, don't make them feel guilty if they eat some.
