Crazy future trip to Aulani points ?

Didn't know a better way to title this...

Long story short in 2 years DH wants to go to Aulani for his 40th...SURE!!!!

We live in MA so we will def break up this trip and make it once in a lifetime.
Thinking 3 nights CA, 8 or 9 nights Aulani, 2 nights Vegas.

To the point, I'm already in the hole for points, by the time we go, I will have about 300 to use...What is the best way to get the most out of them. We will def need a 1 bedroom since DM is coming too. I'm assuming splitting it up between a studio and 1 bedroom would be the way to go????

Please don't flame me...I'm not looking for points, but when it gets closer should I be looking to see if I can get some transferred or pay OOP for maybe a couple of nights. We would like to be in Hawaii for 8 or 9 nights??? I guess I'm just trying to figure out the best way to do this....TIA

I just came back from 3 nights at GCV and 11 nights at Aulani, and it was 328 points for the entire trip. I think 64 of those were for the GCV, so it was 264 for Aulani or 24 points a night. I stayed in a studio at both places, and at Aulani I had a pool view. I think if you're wanting to stay in a 1 BR that you could practically double the amount of points it will take.

I would suggest trying to get the lowest point view (I think it's called the standard view at Aulani) and probably borrowing points from the next year if you want to stay in a 1 BR for 8 or 9 days.

Good luck with figuring it out - Aulani is definitely worth it!
