Crazy Fastpass Question!?

So the oddest thing happened today, kinda crazy actually. My sis n law sent me a pic of her fastpasses for her next visit. At first I'm like, cool you managed to get FOP..then I thought, well you must be staying on-site, as it was 60 days out... she said NO, I haven't made any hotel reservations yet.... so now I'm wondering what in the world??? How in the world was she able to make fastpasses more then 30 days out with no ressies???

Does she have a throwaway room booked that opened her 60 day window? That's the only explanation I can come up with.

I would think she's got something booked. Did she book her trip herself? Or did she use a TA? Does she have a package?

That's why. You have a 60 day rolling window until after your checkout day. Then it reverts to 30.

Oh then that's why, if she is there now that trip opened her window. Don't ask me to explain it because I don't know all the in's and out's of it but someone will be along who does

It's because she's staying onsite right now. I've seen other posts about this, but can't remember all the details.

The 60-day FP booking window continually rolls forward each day until checkout day of the actual onsite stay that opened the window.

As long as valid tickets are linked to MDE, FPs can be booked even without additional onsite stays.

No. That 60 day window will close but the FP's made will still remain

Another funny quirk if you have 2 stays close together. The FP window for your 2nd stay may open a day early. I've had it happen many times, the FP window for stay 2 opens on day 61 instead of day 60
