I get that all the time. DH rolls his eyes whenever I talk about the DIS

, and more polite people just "glaze" over their eyes when I speak of WDW.....
They (although DH is beginning to understand) don't understand the amount of planning that is involved with a WDW trip. Anyone who goes and just "wings it" either will be miserable or will miss out on a lot of stuff.. With all that being said...
Depending on what she wants to do, 3 days may be enough at WDW. I am going for 3 days in September as a mini/mommy/vacation by myself, and I am thinking that my time will be very efficiently spent.
And with my family, we don't need to spend a week at WDW. (It would be nice to just lay around and do nothing, I suppose for a couple of days, but that would just seem like a waste to me..That's the kind of vacationer I am..)
When we go, it is off season, so we can get the same amount of stuff done (with planning-we also do not have to do everything there..) in 5 days that takes a week-10 days for peak season. The only difference is that we are not spending half of our park time in lines...
That may all change as DS6 and DS4 get into higher grades at school, but right now I can take them out of school for 2 days and have a 5 day trip to WDW-off peak (teacher's work day also). We can spend 2 days at the parks, one day of rest, one waterpark day, and an extra to either go back to the waterpark or back to the rides. We will get plenty of resort pool time in the evenings.
I do have one friend who is fanatical about WDW. It's weird, he has an AP and drives to WDW from SC (9 hours) about 6 times a year. He usually goes by himself. When we go to lunch together, we can spend the entire time talking about WDW...

(I gave myself an "eyeroll" on that one!)
