Crazy??? about the shampoo/conditioner and colored/high lighted hair???

It's not the shampoo (H20, very nice) - it's the rock hard water. Really yucky if you are used to the clean rinse of soft water.

Well... now that you mention it, Denise.... I did seem to seriously start losing my hair right after we joined DVC... never made that correlation before, but given my current condition, I might should contact an attorney. :upsidedow

:rotfl2:

From experience, I can tell you that the H2O products work well on gray hair, too, leaving the lustrous locks looking like strands of shimmering silver. ;)

Some of us are quite proud of our "pigment deficiency." :rotfl:
Man, I wish I could go with the silver!! But, my dd has a stroke everytime I mention I'm thinking of stopping the coloring. Oh well, she's only 14 and doesn't want to have the only silver headed mom...even though I have about 20 years on most of the other moms.
In any case.....I haven't noticed any difference in my color while at WDW. I do wear a hat when outside though. And I do try to wet my head down before hitting the pool (wet hair is much less absorbant than dry hair). And since my hair is colored a nice red, with some summery golden glints, I like to be as careful as possible. The H2O products are wonderful. I actually bought some of the marine line after cruising.

Brown hair here, I would say that the sun does much more damage, but I buy the cheapest shampoo and conditioner for colored hair for the trip. It doesn't alway work out but I try to get hair appt scheduled for when I come back {soon afterwards}.

I get my hair colored every 4 - 5 weeks. I can't stand that 1/8 of an inch of white. I started going white at 20. I used Suave Paul Mitchell knock off, and since they stopped making that - I use BJ's knock off of Matrix. I have no troubles with the cheap shampoo. But I do make sure I condition every day. I agree with the hard water problem in Florida - hair is very limp.

natural Dirty Blonde hair here... I used the disney shampoo but used my own leave in conditioner and smoothing hairspray (for the humidity). after a week in disney with the blazing sun and chlorinated water my hair is naturally highlighted, and i get compliments and people asking me where i got my new highlights :)

Disney bonus! :rotfl:

I have brown/auburn hair that I color the greys in.

I have never tried the Mouse supplies, I always take my own toiletries due to eczema/allergies. I once got hives all over my hands after using the dispenser soap in an Epcot bathroom, so I even carry a tiny bottle of hand soap. :scared1: I have a child with skin problems too so we are "free" everything + special lotions.

But I find the chlorine in the pools really strips my hair worse than any shampoo I've ever tried. I just accept that having my color fade a bit is part of the price of a nice vacation.
