Craziest table mates you have had.

Just a note on the babies - she posted a comment on that YouTube video that says this: "No, I'm not crazy. I'm fully aware that these are just dolls. It's just a hobby, I make videos for fun. No I do not want real children, no I don't want to adopt, no I did not lose a child, or am preparing for one. I work a normal job, I have a family and just do this as a hobby and for fun! Lighten up people. I have an imagination and I use it! Thanks :)"

Just thought I'd share since so many people seem to be curious or creating their own stories!
Good to know! I wondered if she was playing it up for the video. I couldn't understand why her mom was unconcerned otherwise.

lol...right?
"oh..I know they're just dolls"... yeah, that sure makes you less crazy...
the bathing, the sunscreen, taking them to the nursery..i'm sure that's what normal adult people do with dolls.... please...dat woman deserves to be locked in a nuthouse...if i was around her she'd scare the bejeezus out of me, kinda like the unabomber...different, but both crazy as heck...

I totally agree! And I'd honestly be offended. After losing 2 babies, barely able to have a healthy one and some chick walked in with dolls & expects people to treat them as real?!?! It would not end well!

Call me crazy but.....I'm not buying it. I can kinda see making videos for fun at home, but these dolls and all their accessories are $$$. You'd really take along THAT much extra stuff on vacation, and spend that kind of money, and ask the cabin attendant to make their bed each night because it's "just for fun"??

I mean, I have an imagination too and I'm a kid at heart as well, but.....I don't know. I still think if this is your hobby, you'd dress them up at home, maybe put them in holiday and seasonal outfits, display them at home, etc....but you don't take them on vacation with you AND cart them around everywhere AND treat them like actual babies.

(Edited to Add) I feel for her because I just don't think that you can put THAT much effort, time and money into something like that and still hold that it's "just a hobby." She is clearly dealing with something and it's manifesting itself in this way, and I feel for her.

I was going to post the same thing! In fact I've started to write a few times then changed my mind. But I just can't stay away! It's like coming across am accident on the freeway. You tell yourself …Don't look…Don't look….and then what do you do???…you look! Seriously, collecting dolls is a hobby. Even changing their clothes to change up the display can be part of the hobby. But bringing them out in public treating them as if they were real humans, with the intention of making other people not just think that they are real babies, but expect them to treat them as real babies, is way beyond a hobby of a normal person. When someone asks about their baby as they are carrying them around the ship,(as other mothers will do to be friendly and start conversation) what do they answer? And the poor CMs!!! They really can't say no to a passenger's request to cut up their doll's dinner or change their doll's diaper! I'm sorry but normal people don't pay nursery fees for their dolls! (However, if she needs a baby sitter, I'll charge less than the teenager down the street!!!:lmao: )

I must add that in the 4 cruises that we have been on, our table mates have always been great! Threads like this are entertaining because I think it's something we all secretly fear! Getting stuck with the crazies! Makes me wonder how long till my luck runs out!

Perhaps the psycho taking pictures of the children should be seated at the table with the reborns!
Also, to the person who posted about the man taking pictures of her children….I don't know how you were able to keep your composure! I'm pretty sure if that were me, I would be able to tell you all where every hidden Mickey is inside the DCL brig!!!:rotfl2: I know that I sound like the crazy one to avoid, but I'm really a very nice person!:good vibes…….until you mess with my children!!!

I still think that's something isn't right there. :confused3 That's just too weird.

We've always requested a table to ourselves. Each time we get close to a cruise, I think "why don't we try mixed seating and see if we make friends!" and then a thread like this pops up and I think better of it!

I'm afraid that we'll be the ones people post their "craziest table mates" posts about! My husband and I own a nightclub in a big city. We're atheists. We both have tattoos AND piercings. I have pink dreadlocks down to my waist. We share a bottle of wine with dinner almost every night on our cruise even though we don't really drink at home. I never understand when posters are like "they'll save the leftovers for you for the next night" 'cause we never have leftover wine! But we're both politically fairly conservative and somewhat socially liberal. Our son is a little socially awkward and a little nerdy. I think we're adorable! But, I can see how most people wouldn't mesh well with us, even though I think we're pretty gosh-darn fun!

Maybe I'll continue requesting a table of our own so we can stay the family everyone stares at but doesn't have to make polite conversation with :flower3:

If you ever want a change of pace move to Portland, OR sometime. You sound perfectly normal and tame to me - takes more than pink dreads to be weird around here. The nicest guy I know (aside from my husband of course) owns the local tiki joint - everyone knows someone in the bar business here. I'M considered the weirdo for NOT having ink or body piercings (just one ear cartilage hoop and a double ear piercing). Wine aerates so who on earth would leave it for the next night? Thats just not done around here... if you can't drink the bottle order by the glass! :thumbsup2 I'd have much preferred you to my last table mates - we have way more in common.

You can take care of that this weekend - across the river in Vancouver is the Tattoo and Body Piercing and Body Art "convention"

On a Princess cruise, Dh and I were seated next to a very "entertaining" couple. My guess is that she was in her twenties and he had to be late fifties to early sixties. They molested each other throughout the entire meal  She sat on his lap and he fed her, while groping every body part. I won't include every detail, but at one point her toes were in his mouth and he was sucking on them!

It is pretty difficult to shock me, but that was way overboard:sad2:

Blair Reynolds? I use his BJ Reynolds (Formerly Trader Tiki's) syrups in my drinks. Thatch was always on my bucketiki list, which put Hale Pele on that list when Blair bought Thatch and converted it.:thumbsup2

Craziest tablemate ever is ME. Been on 5 cruises, my wife and I have never had any tablemates. Top that :rotfl2:

Love the stories, Keep-em coming.

Eewww!!!! Now that is just gross! At the table.....yuck. A crew member should have said something to them. Sitting on a lap is bad enough but sucking on toes??!! Totally 100% inappropriate!!

Maybe the Toe Suckers and the Dinner Floss-ers should have been put together! :scared1::scared:

How disgusting!
What the he** is wrong with people???

I'm pretty sure that a crew member did say something after the toe sucking, but it was 13 years ago and my memory is foggy on some of the details:) I do recall seeing them around the ship and the man's hand was always down the back of her pants and I mean waaaayyy down the back. I have no idea what their story was, but they didn't seem to care what anyone else thought about their behavior and everyone on the ship knew who they were:rolleyes1
