So what's the odds on crashing an ADR early? If we have a 6:20 ADR at a restaurant what's the odds we could get in at 5:45 or 6:00 pm?

Depends on the place and time, I guess. I had a 6:30 ADR at Raglan Roads last week and was able to get in at 5:00. The place was pretty empty though...

I think it is worth a try. On our last trip, we arrived 25 minutes early at Chef Mickey's and were seated immediately. We also got seated immediately at most other places even being 15 or 20 minutes early. The only place we had any trouble was 1900 Park Fare dinner. We were almost 30 minutes early for that ADR and did not get seated until close to an hour after our ADR time.

1) I would say doubtful.
2) Kona is a pretty popular, and there is usually a waiting line.
3) Of course, people with earlier times have preference over you.
4) You could be waiting quite a while.

It will depend completely on how busy the restaurant is.

We've arrived early for numerous ADR's in the past. I think in each case but maybe 1 or 2, we were seated well before our scheduled ADR time. The other times, we were seated right on time.

But, as others have already mentioned, it would depend on the restaurant and how busy they were.

We did it several times on our vacation, including at Kona, and were seated early at all of them. We also did it at Narcoossee's, Boma, Jiko, and Kouzzina.

The only restaurants where we waited at all were Akershus, Cape May, Sci-Fi, and Mama Melrose.

we did it frequently on our most recent trip and had no problem at all... most restaurants were happy to see us early as they had tables available and it would ease the "rush" later in the evening...

I can tell you we had a ressie for Kona Cafe in May of this past year...not a terribly busy time of year. Our ressie was for 6:40pm...we showed up closer to 5:30pm hoping to get in earlier. Nope...we sat around having some drinks (and snacks for the kids) until right about 6:40pm...maybe even a a bit later!

So it definitely depends...but we were also a party of seven.
