Thank you. Things are definately looking up. I will post more as soon as I work on resizing these pictures as I forgot some of them still needed resized. Shouldn't be too long
I deemed this day NO sickies day
Last night was little harder for me to sleep. I guess its all that excitment for Magic Kingdom I was awake by 7am and up by 8:30. I got my first Mickey Waffle ever and it was so good. The kids enjoyed their breakfast and off we went to pack for MK. Once we got to the bus stop we didn't have to wait long at all.
Sierra had forgotten her lighter jacket at home so I had looked around the gift shop at the hotel for another one. All they had was the $50 Disney jackets and I didn't want to pay that much for one. So I let her wear mine and hoped for the best. Once we got to MK we did a little shopping at the Emporium and I found me a Disney jacket (2010) on clearance for $26.00. Not too bad! So we were both sporting Disney Jackets.
Mil had wanted to get some silouhettes of the kids but the first stand we came to was closed. So we headed across the bridge to another one. I wasn't a fan of doing this since it was so cold outside. But they toughed it out and did it.
After that we headed to the Hall of Presidents so we could warm up a bit. Both of our kids really enjoy this. They are both very interested in Abraham Lincoln. Haunted Mansion was up next and I have to say it was so funny with Mil on this ride. We had bypassed the library room and dh was a bit disappointed in that. We hadn't planned on it it just happened that way since Ty is in his wheelchair.I thought it was much better myself.
Then we were off to It's A Small World. They totally redesigned the entrance and we were in line a very LONG time! But we finally had our turn:
Sierra found something very interesting on Ty's head. Check it out:
The cross mark is from his headphones and the long mark is a scar on his head. We thought it was a perfect T for Ty.
After that we headed over to Peter Pan. Its such a nice relaxing ride. It's one of our favorite rides. It was nice to show mil all the neat lights below. And of course we all love how our clothes glowAfter Peter Pan was Snow White then we headed to Pinocchio's Village for a nice lunch.I love thier chicken fingers.
Once we had our tanks filled up we were off to the tea cups. Ty was a no go on those and mil says no to anything that spins too much so we just sat and watched. Of course these were one of my 500 pictures I had that my camera decided to erase once we got home. Yep that's right. Can you believe that!! Gone!
Then Tim took Sierra and Mil on Stitch while me and Ty sat out and waited. He hates this ride. We have tried it before and he had to be taken out so we knew better this time. Sensory overload for Ty. It took them quite a long time to ride it but we sat and gabbed while they were in there.
Coming up Magic Kingdom Day 2 CRASH! You want us to do WHAT?
When I left off me and Ty were waiting on mil, Tim and Sierra to come off of Stitch. Once we finally met back up we decided to ride the Tomorrowland Transit Authority. It was freezing and it was beginning to get dark. We hadn't packed our winter coats for MK (don't blame me I tried to tell them!) and further more dh had shorts on a light jacket and a pretty much bald head. It was pretty windy too. When we got started Buzz was over to the side and hubby yelled real loud :To INFINITY AND BEYOND!The ride kept stopping. Then going. Then stopping and did it a few times. Finally it stopped for a little bit longer and they came over the loud speaker and told us to just sit tight for a bit. We are sitting there and the cars behind us slam into our Cars! Pretty hard too! Everyone was ok thankfully. So here we sit over the water (at least we weren't too far from the beginning of the ride but a little ways out) and the wind is blowing and it is freezing. Pour dh was so cold. When he is cold you know it is C O L DWe sat there a good 30mins.Finally they came on the speaker and said something we could hardly hear them but they were telling us we would have to walk off of the ride. I am just so thankful that Ty only uses his wheelchair for long distance walking etc. I don't think hubby could have carried him off that! They did give us each a fast pass for one ride of our choice but since we were ready to go shortly we gave them away. After that Tim went and bought him a toboggin hat that has a mickey head on it.Definately learned his lesson.
Once we were settled from that we went on Carousel of Progress.Right before we got on Sierra had one of those "I've been bitten by the Magic Moments"We had told them we probably wouldn't be going back to Disney World for a while as we wanted to take them other places. Well she took it that we weren't going back at all and she had the tears a flowinI gave her a big ole and explained that's not what we meant. But it didn't really help. I guess once that magic is in your heart it is there forever
After that we were off to see Wishes only we were in the back of the castle. So that was kind of a bust. I was so disappointed. Really wanted to see Tinker Bell fly Sierra and I are huge Tinker Bell fans and we were really looking forward to a mommy and me momment. You aren't seeing many pictures of her just yet but you will
Then we went and introduced mil to the Dole Whip. Too cold for me! Her and Ty both got one and they loved them. And off to the Tiki Tiki room we went. We basically walked on the last few rides. After Tiki room we went and rode Pirates of the Caribean. Love this ride! It was really nice to see MIL enjoy these rides. We had missed the parade starting and it was really hard to get Ty's wheelchair into the crowd so we just walked along side it and headed on out. A very Magical Day at Magic Kingdom
So while I'm in the ladies room I look at the wall and see something moving. A not one but severalThey were little tiny ants! Crawling all over! The bathtub, the walls, the door the floor. Outside the RR up on the cieling was a tile that was loose and they were coming in from there.
I am back and I'm going to work on this trip report. Ty finally got his last tube removed day before yesterday so the worst part hopefully is over. It has been a long 3 months! But he is finally doing well. Although he is still out of school for another month but hey summer is right around the corner so I need to get this freezing Disney trip report done
