Luckily nobody was injured but the red hero car apparently was going too fast and hit the top of the truck with his landing ramp.

They have crashes all the time. We have seen 2 (and we don't got to the show often because I hate it). One time a motorcycle and a car collided. They took about a 10 minute break and then continued the show without the motorcycles. Another time two of the black cars slid into each other and they stopped the show and we all had to leave.

I know they take safety very seriously, but its an inevitable risk with a show of this nature.

I will be very happy when they get rid of this show! lol. We don't go to see it because I find the stadium blistering hot and the show boring... but this is scary! Accidents are happening all the time with this show, maybe they should just close it?

When i went last year they had a fire in one of the cars as it was in teh section right near the seats they had to keep us there in our seats and wait about 20 mins til they could change out the car and remove it.

I like the show, but I hate the guy getting lit on fire. I don't care how much protective clothing the person has on, it just seems wrong.

DH & I both love the show and usually are not there when it is extremely hot. We usually sit near the top as it's much cooler!

We are neither 'extreme' sports fanatics, but we like all the stunts and as many times as we have gone have been fortunate to never see an accident!

Honestly if you don't like the show you probably don't understand the appeal. The fact that accidents can and do happen is part of the attraction.. the danger etc..

Why do you think people get so excited for a crash at NASCAR? Of course we worry about the participants etc.. but there is a certain excitement in the moment that is undeniable.
