I'm so sad....I can't get Le Cellier for dinner. I'm going to keep trying but need a replacement. Any suggestions?

Have you thought about lunch? We could only get times for dinner that were much too late for my 2 year old. So, we're trying lunch. I love that place so I'm willing to take what I can get.

The lunch menu is not the same as dinner, but still good. DH can get his filet and I am looking forward to trying the prime rib sandwich. I'd just be happy with a basket of pretzel bread, some cheddar soup, and privacy to enjoy it properly.:lmao:

We love Le Cellier for lunch! In fact, we prefer to eat there for lunch over dinner. DH gets the filet, we share the cheese soup (with a hearty helping of pretzel bread of course), and I get the burger. I know a burger sounds boring, but theirs is really amazing--nothing like a regular, boring burger. Mmmm, now I want Le Cellier for lunch today. Too bad it's an 8 hour commute. ;)

Keep on trying, at first I had a lunch adr for le cellier then two weeks later i found a dinner adr, so of course i cancelled lunch and booked dinner. If you can't get Le Cellier some other good options at Epcot are Chefs De France and Coral Reef.

Coral Reef!! Hands down their steak was great (and at one time I read a post here saying a chef from LeCellier moved to Coral Reef!!)

check out the menu on allears.net to see if it would work for you!

I love the atmosphere at Coral Reef!!

The tenderloin at Chefs de France is VERY good. yummmmmy Tender, cooked perfect, no fat, no bone. Just good stuff. :thumbsup2
Also Turf Club (SSR) steaks with toppings are hard to beat.

I was so disappointed that we couldn't get Le Cellier on our last trip - however a cast member convinced me to try Yachtsman instead - and Yes I know, it's Signature Dining (2 TS) but it was so worth it! I have never had anything like the steaks there - wow - I had the Filet and the boys had the 24 oz porterhouse....it was absolutely the best meal I have ever had in a restaurant - and I love fine dining! The guys even finished all 24 oz of their steask - they picked them clean (although it did take them a while - lol). I am so happy that I got Bently on the phone when I called about le cellier - as his reccomendation turned out to be the best meal ever!

Oh and their signature dessert (Banana Napoleon) was the most amazing dessert ever - and I'm not a huge fan of banana desserts!

I am going for the second time this yr. in Oct. I T R I E D relentlessly to get a ressie at LE CELLIER and THE CALIFORNIA GRILL to no avail. I wouldn't go there now if I could. But have great ones at Jiko, Wave, Flying Fish, Woofgang Puck Cafe, Teppan Edo, Citricos etc.. LE CELLIER is just too hard to come by. I am not as disappointed not getting CA Grill as Bay Lake Towers just opened. This is how I really feel. lol:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

We couldn't get Le Cellier either, so we opted for Chefs de France. Our backup if Chefs was not available was going to be Coral Reef. :goodvibes

I agree with the idea of doing Les Chefs! I also agree with the idea of getting the tenderloin.

And I promise, dessert will be amazing too!

:goodvibes

If Le Cellier doesn't work out might I suggest the Captains Grille at the Yacht Club? They have several steak options and many others, including a wonderful pork chop.

We ate there last year and were extremely pleased with our meal. We enjoyed the short boat ride (or you can walk) from Epcot to the Yacht dock. The dining room was quiet and relaxing and the food was outstanding. They even boxed up our dessert for us when we were too stuffed to eat it and we enjoyed it later.

That's exactly what I was going to suggest. The atmosphere is so much nicer. No children running around wild, screaming. All are well behaved. I remember when LeCellier was a nice quiet restaurant - before the free dining plan naturally.

I didn't even try to get Le Cellier for dinner, although it was available when I made my ADR's. We have the DxDDP so we have 2 TS meals planned each day. Decided it would be better to do Biergarten for dinner and Le Cellier for lunch. Besides, anything that I am interested in ordering is also on the lunch menu. Good luck!:goodvibes

Yachtsman is in a totally different league from LeCellier, there is no comparison. The food is wonderful and the servers are, get this, actually friendly and attentive, something the LC servers seen to know nothing about being (or at least the ones we had on our last two visits there).

Called this morning when our 90+10 window opened and couldn't get LeCellier for dinner, but was able to get it for lunch. The dinner entrees we like (the filet and the salmon two ways) and the dinner desserts are also on the lunch menu, so that was a good alternative for us.

Glad someone's getting what they want! I'm still looking at 'Ohana dinner and Cape May but both are showing booked solid.
