Cranberry & Pineapple Continued.....Again.

Hello from snowy and cold Colorado.

Selena, I'm so glad that Jeff likes the cake (and you to some degree). I have another one in the oven. Ted is going to take it to work. Don't worry, Heidi doesn't like eggnog either. WOW, you and Heidi must have the same cold. She really hasn't had a good day, just an hour or two. Yesterday she was miserable. I am taking CoQ10. Just don't want it on vacation not to mention Stacey wouldn't allow me to see the kids, rightfully so. Tyler doesn't need that!

I've got a lot to do so I told Ted to go downstairs and enjoy a movie. Guess that means I should get going.

Sorry you guys are sick, Selena and Heidi.

I did end up taking Jacob to the dr on Thursday. They said it was probably the flu. He had a fever every day since Tuesday. It seems to be gone this afternoon though (had one when he first woke up but it went away). So hopefully he will be ok for school tomorrow. He looks much better, just has a cough now.

Glad to hear that Jacob is getting better. I remember when the girls had the actual flu how horribly sick they were. It took so long to get them back to health.

I just bought Rachel a plane ticket to go see her best friend in Iowa for a few days the week over New Years. I am a little nervous even though I know she will be fine.

Rachel will be fine, Cristi. She is a very mature girl. I bet she is excited! Where in Iowa?

Hello all (who are left)...

I was at a seminar on Thursday and Friday, so I was not on the computer at all, even to check email, until Saturday. It was here in Denver and a good change of pace, I guess.

Good morning. I decided to stay home today. This cold has been kicking my butt and then woke up with a fever today so I didn't want to go to work and pass it along to my coworkers. It's weird, today is the first day I have felt better but also the first day I have a fever.

Cristi - I bet Rachel is so excited that she is going to see her best friend. Glad you took Jacob to the doctor. Hope he is doing better.

Selena - Feel better soon. Hugs to you.

Jrsy - It's nice to get away from the computers!

How is Rachel? I think she is in between my 2 in age. I am sure she will be fine but still it makes you worry. What a great mom you are for doing that too!!

Heidi watch the fever thing. I am sorry I feel like a mother hen. I know you have a great mom, one who posts here too but still watch it. That is the way H1N1 is doing. Sick, get to feeling better than bammmmmm!!!

I was very proud of myself today. Actually last night I started feeling like I have a bit of energy. I was able to take my shower and do a few chores before wearing down. I honestly thought I would be late to school today. I figured I would wake up feeling crummy and need extra time in getting ready. I was able to leave on time. On Mondays, I drop Erik off at weight lifting at 7 and then run to the bank to get lunch money. Jeff did not make coffee this morning so I went to McDonald's to get coffee and headed to the bank and the ATM was offine. I was able to scrap enough money together to buy his lunch. I just do not carry money/cash with me.

I am tired now and look forward to getting off of work. I hope Jeff feels like cooking because all I can think about is getting home and laying on my sofa in my jammies.

Jrsy you were missed.

Sandy the cake is really outstanding. I do not "not" like eggnog, it is just not my favorite thing. I have a recipe for a Irish Cream Cake that reminds me a lot of the eggnog cake. Of course it tastes much different but the cake mix, eggs and vanilla pudding are all the same. However, I truly think the eggnog cake is a very pretty cake. With the glaze being dizzled over the cake it makes it so pretty. Well our glaze was thick and not a very thin glaze which make it stick so well to the cake. I wound up having 2 small pieces. I am going to bring the rest to work tomorrow to my friends to enjoy. Unless Jeff eats all of it before I can.

THANK YOU SELENA!! I was thinking the same thing about H1N1 feeling bad, good and then bad again. I asked her this morning if she thought she should go in. Maybe with another comment, she might think twice! Thanks!! Glad you guys like the cake. You make me feel so good about it. Don't you just love laying around in PJ's?

Jrsy, welcome back. Stay warm waiting for the light rail. It sure is COLD!

Selena - Thanks! You can never have too many mom's to look after you!!!! The fever seems to be gone now so we will see how I feel tomorrow. I have to drop my car off at the auto body shop to get fixed tomorrow from when it was involved in the hit and run. Of course it is suppose to be -4 tonight and snowing so I am not looking forward to that drive.

Heidi, we would drive Bowles to Federal. Then take the first right after Hampden. That way we avoided all the 285 traffic. Please be careful.

You should feel good about the cake. It is very good and so lovely. Honestly I do not think I have ever helped make a cake that turned out that pretty. I think if I had felt better yesterday laying around in my jammies would have been great. I really was out of it. I was so spacey feeling. It felt so good when all of a sudden I had energy last evening.

You guys need to explain the light rail to me. I know it is what Jrsy takes to work but is it like a computer train, subway, ?

Well you know I feel like all of you are family so I worry about you too. Just watch it if the fever comes back. Promise if it does you will go to the doctor. Oh be careful driving in the snow.

Mac and I are watching A Grandpa for Christmas. We DVRed it the other day and finally getting around to watching it.

Selena, Rachel just turned 14 last month. She is going to have a blast at her friend's house. They live in Elliott IA. She will be flying in to Omaha, NE. It is about an hour drive from there I guess. Her friend just moved there this summer. Her dad built a house there. It is huge, something like 8000 sq ft. :scared1:

Jacob has pneumonia. Poor kid. He has had a fever since last Tuesday night. Yesterday was really low grade all day, but he woke up with 100.8 again today. Brad stayed home with him and took him back to the Dr. He is on antibiotics now and hopefully those will kick in pretty soon.

Cristi - Oh no, poor Jacob. I hope the meds will help him. When do they get out of school for Christmas break?

Selena - I promise I will go to the doctor if it comes back. I am feeling so much better today. I made it to work and still feeling fine so hoping today will be a good day.

Not much snow today. Thankfully Chris had to drive me to work and has to pick me up. I am too nervous to drive his truck in the snow.

Hi all!

Cristi,:sick::sad2:Poor Jacob. I am so sorry to hear how sick he is. Bless his heart. Rachel is flying in very close to my hometown of Sioux Falls, SD. It's probably about an hour from Omaha. 8000 sq ft house? Nice!

Selena, I saw A Grandpa for Christmas last year and liked it. I try to watch a lot of the Christmas shows. Poor Ted! (beat you to it Jrsy)

Heidi, I was wondering if you would drive the truck with the roads like they are. I LOVE the way my Highlander is in the snow. I was very comfortable driving today.
