Good morning. We got a dusting of snow but the roads are really icy, it was kind of a challenge to make it into work today.

I wanted to call in sick today, but I came anyway. Everyone is sick at work so we are working off a skeleton crew.

NO NO NO we can not let this thread go. It is my life line to my Colorado friends. We have to do better. I love you guys like you are my family.

I know lately I have been down in a lot of ways and at times it has effect my posting. While I have not been depressed there have been times I just did not feel like posting. Sometimes I lurked like Jrsy and other times I did not even sign on. Heck sometimes I have not even cut on my computer at home.

You know I worry about you guys having to go to work in the ice and snow. I realize you are use to driving in it but that does not make it any less dangerous.

Are you feeling bad? I swear there are so many things going around lately. Nasty nasty bugs. I have no clue how I am healthy all of a sudden. Now watch me get sick. lol Knock on wood here. I really do think it is the COQ10 I am taking. I still take my EmergenC but not as often as I use to. I just know I am glad that I have only had 1 cold since going back to work this year.

Happy Hump Day. YAYAYAYAY

I have 2 weeks and 2 days until Winter break.

I am mostly done with all my Chrismtas shopping. Thank goodness. I do have to buy stocking stuffers and one more present. Of course my tree is not up nor any presents wrapped.

I am going to need to start a Christmas dinner menu soon. I am unsure if we are inviting Jeff's mom and step dad. Long long story. To make it simple, step dad left mom this spring. He came back about a 6 weeks ago and she did not even let us know. Since Jeff called her that dad we have not heard from them once. No phone call for Erik's 15th birthday. No card no present...nothing. I am not happy about it. Now she has never given me a card for my birthday and that is fine but don't do this to my son who adores you. So, I told Jeff I am unsure if I want them in our home. I say that with the fact that MacKenzie, Erik and Jeff have no use for step dad/grandfather. All 3 have said they do not plan on talking to him. Well he is just mean enough not to allow Jeff's mom to ever have anything to do with us. Now with that thought... my thoughts are she has not had anything to do with us in the last 2 months so who cares...but then...I think I do not want to be like that.

Oh well....right?

Gosh, those Holiday family gatherings are always tough. Who knows what the RIGHT thing is. I think it is probably what is best for YOUR family. Speaking of holiday dinner, I just tried a new recipe. It is eggnog bundt cake. The drizzle was yummy. I haven't cut into the cake yet.

Well now if I did what was right for my family then no one besides my father would be allowed down. lol Let my mom stay at home. However, since my brother now comes home at Christmas I have to allow mom to come because I do want to see my brother. lol

Sorry, I'm here. I been lurking a little, but I haven't been on a whole lot lately. We have a new computer system at work that yesterday was the "go live" date on. So it has been REALLY crazy at work. Last week was pretty busy and then this week so far I have something like 32 hours already and it is only Wed.

Last night as soon as I got home from work and changed clothes I headed back out to a meeting at the middle school with some school board members about saving our school. I didn't get home from there until 9:15.

Jacob stayed home from school today with Brad. He had a little sore throat and a low grade fever. Tonight he said his throat doesn't hurt too bad, but he has a little cough and his fever was 102.8. And he said he was light headed. I will be staying home with him tomorrow and taking him to the doctor if he is still running a fever. Poor guy.

Selena - My coworker's dad was a Pharmacist and he swears by CoQ10. I am going to buy some next time at the store. I wonder if Jeff's mom is afraid to tell you guys that the step dad is back because she knows deep down how you feel about him, maybe she is embarrassed? I don't mind driving in the snow, but the ice kind of freaks me out at times! As long as you go slow it usually isn't a problem, I just hate stopping at the stop lights!

Cristi - Poor Jacob, hope he feels better soon.

Mom - Are you still up for Kohls tomorrow if we go early?

Heidi, yep, let's go to Kohls!!!! It's the stopping on ice and snow that I don't like, too. Why is it that both Kipling and Wadsworth have lights at the bottom of hills and the middle of hills? I don't mind it going uphill, it's just the downhill that scares me! Good point for Selena!

Can you say open mouth insert foot? I have a cold!!! lol I have been so healthy and now I am just now getting sick. I feel like crap but I know I will feel much worse tomorrow. We were suppose to go to the Panther's game on Sunday but we decided not to go. I am glad but we invited friends over to watch and I am not sure I am going to feel like it. At least it is the weekend and I have 2 days to get to feeling decent.

I went to the doctor. More than likely I will be going on medicine. The day after Thanksgiving they did a more extensive Liptd (sp) panel. My Trigs are much lower, HDL too low and LDL OK. Actually they were up some from the October lab work. I go back in 3 months for the same labs. I also am having a small something biopsied in January. More than likely in 3 months I will be on medicine.

Sorry to hear about your cold Selena. I am living in fear that I might get one before our trip to Mexico. Wouldn't be a good thing as my cough lasts for months. Poor people that would be next to us in the resort and have to listen to me at night!! So are you going on a cholesterol lowering drugs? I guess I don't understand from what you wrote. Not too smart on medical things that's for sure. My good cholesterol is high and my bad is high so he hasn't been making me go on any meds. I pray I don't have to. Hopefully getting my thyroid under control will help that. Wed my blood pressure was low but he didn't even address it. Biopsy.....good grief. You need a break!

Cristi, how is Jacob feeling? Did you wind up taking him to the doctor? Donot play around with a fever. It is just not worth it. I hope by now he is feeling better.

My cold is kicking my butt today. I am just so congested in my head. My ears hurt, my nose hurts and I just feel crummy. I have had worse colds but this one is making me so exhausted feeling.

Needless to say I have not cared to do anything around my house. I did a few things last night. Washed a few dishes and straightened a few things. Today I have washed a couple of dishes and ate. lol Erik has a huge project due next week he is working on. Jeff is going to watch football and he has said he is not taking him out to buy anything else to do the project with. Oh well, thank goodness Erik has his Learner's Permit because I can walk to the car and sit there. I have cash and he can run in and buy what he needs.

Oh Jeff made the eggnog cake. He says the house smells really good. I can not smell a thing. lol My taste buds must be off too because I can not taste anything I have ate. lol

Oh well I am drinking a EmergenC now. Hopefully I will feel better soon. At least I have had 2 days to be sick and might feel like goin gto work tomorrow. I am going to work whether I feel like it or not because I do not want to stay here and have to worry about taking Cooper out to use the bathroom.

I still do not have my tree up. I am hoping to get it in the house today. If I have it in the house it might get decorated this week.

Sandy, Two thumbs up on the cake. I was able to taste it which was nice. Yum. One piece is probably all I will eat because I am not a huge eggnog fan but Jeff loves it. Very good and it is a pretty cake too with the dizzled glaze. It would be a lovely cake to take to or gift someone with.
