I have been very sick this past week. The kids came down with a cold a week ago Friday and decided to be kind and share it with me. I was out with Mac on Tuesday and we had to go to the doctor. By Friday I was so sick I could not hardly get off the sofa. My doctor rocks though. She called me in medicine/antibotic.

Erik took Driver's Ed on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. He passed and now he can get his permit in November on his birthday. In NC kids can get their permit at 15 if they have finished the class and driving part of DE. They must have a learner's permit for a year before they can get their DL.

Otherwise nothing much is happening here.

Can't wait to see some shows tonight...House, CSI, How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory and Two and Half Men.

Selena - Are you feeling better now? What a drag to be that sick. Did you watch all those shows last night? I watched most of them. I was hoping for more on Two and a Half Men. I think I am going to like Accidentally on Purpose, it was pretty cute.

Jrsy - We played Toy Story Mania yesterday FINALLY!!!!! My wrists were so sore afterwards, it is such a fun game. I cannot wait to play it with my parents!

Yay! Did it just come yesterday? Tammy was asking last night when she and Alex were playing. Isn't it weird playing on such a small screen when you're used to the big one at DL?

It actually came on Saturday, but we forgot to check the mail so we did not open it until yesterday. It is definitely easier on the big screen at DL! I love it as it brings back so many memories from that ride!

We are excited about Thursday night. Chris told me it was going to snow 6-12 inches Wednesday night and he was so excited about all the snow until I reminded him of the Great American Beer Festival being the next day, then he wasn't so excited! Of course he was wrong about the snow, thankfully! Not sure I am ready to handle the crowds though! Luckily I have Friday off!

I wouldn't be too concerned about the crowds; it isn't like it is wall-to-wall people. They've actually added about 90,000 more square feet of festival space this year while only adding about 3,000 more tickets. We've learned in years past that if you don't feel like fighting the crowd, there will be another table with fewer people a bit further along. We never feel like there are things we have to try because there is so much to try that there is always something available that is easy to get to.

Tiffany and I are planning to meet up with my friend Robert between 4:30-4:45. We'll keep our eyes open for you two. Are you taking the light rail?

Sure not ready for this cold. Left for the cruise in summer and basically came back to winter. Where was fall?

Selena, how horrible to be so sick. Sorry! Good for E. Can you believe you will soon have TWO drivers. I hated that part of parenting!

Don't forget your ID, also, and, if you didn't know it, backpacks are not allowed and there is no coat check so only bring what you can carry. And don't be shocked when you see people there with babies, but there are no strollers allowed.

I had read about there not being a coat check and no backbacks. Not sure if I will bring a jacket and carry it or just suck it up and freeze to death waiting for the lightrail and waiting to get in! Choices, choices! I will definitely throw my ID, cash, and a credit card in my back pocket and not worry about a purse. Babies....wow, that kind of surprises me. Not sure I would bring kids to this kind of event. I know you can buy food there, but is there anything else you can purchase there from the individual vendors?

I'll typically wear a light jacket if it is cool and tie it around my waist if it gets warm inside, which it generally doesn't. There is a bunch of other stuff available from other vendors; Tif always buys Beer Chips and we bought some Sam Adams glasses one year.

Also, tell Chris not to wear button fly jeans when time may be of the essence.

Just so all of you CO people know. Ted and I will look like Frankensteins at the BBQ. I went to the dermatologist today and got 3 biopsies done, one on the forehead.Cute. And then had 4 warts frozen off four fingers. Probably won't be a pretty sight by then. Ted is at the dentist now for a skin graft for his gums. Yuck. I really, really feel for him. I know he has to wear some sort of "plate" so he can eat. We both won't be a pretty sight. not that we usually are)

Ouch, Sandy. Ted is having gum grafts? I had those done when the kids were little. Not fun at all. He will only be able to eat soft stuff for awhile.

Thanks Cristi. I was wondering what he could eat. He was under the impression that all will be good but I just couldn't imagine that. I'm sitting her not knowing what to do for dinner until he gets home. I bought his favorite soup just in case and it sounds like it was a good thing I did.
