Mac in the Dig

Wednesday, August 12

We came out of the Dig and had to go to the Bathroom. We came out of the dig at the bottom where you can go out to the beach area. We needed to go to the bathroom and there was one there between the dig outside area and a restaruant. We went in and I am so glad we did. We noticed a lot of security. Mac had her camera out and she was told immediately no pictures, to cut it off and put it up. Once we were in the bathroom we found out why. Remember me mentioning the Miss Universe Contest? Well we saw Miss USA, Miss Egypt, Miss Austraila and Miss Dominican Republic. They were all so beautiful. Miss USA had on a beautiful pink dress that came to her knees.

I was so thrilled that Mac was able to see Miss USA.

After this we decided to do more slides. We did the challenger several times. It is two slides beside each other where it times you. I bet Mac every time. :)

Then we headed back to the Power Tower. We did all the slides again there.

We had thought we would stay until the pools close but we decided to go back for sushi. The Monarch has sushi for a fee.

After doing the slides again we headed back to the ship. We had no problems finding a taxi back. The couple we rode back with had no clue that the fee is $4 pp. I had to tell them.

Once we got back we called for reservations at the Jade. Our reservations were for 7:15. We took showers and headed up there.

This was a waste too. They did not have many servers and the service was not great. We ordered 4 rolls and each only had 4 pieces. We also ordered a salad and a hot stone meal. It is a meal that you cook on a stone at the table. They forgot our hot stone meal so we did not get that.

I had mentioned the ad downstairs and they gave me an entire bottle of sak. Not good. Japanese moonshine is not a good thing by yourself. lol

I went to bed early and Mac was very upset with me. I did get up and go with her to the Quest Show.

After I went to bed around 1 am for good.

I have one more day to post about for the first cruise. I am going to finish walking True Blood with the family. Post more tomorrow.

Selena - I am loving your TR, thanks for posting it. Atlantis looks beautiful, and the water park sounds fun....next time I go there I want to do that. RCI private island looks nice too. I love the baseball pictures!

I will post more possibly tonight.

Atlantis was a blast and worth every dime to us. I can not imagine not going back when in Nassau. We have been to Nassau so many times that we are bored with this port. Now, everytime we are in Nassau if we are there long enough we will go to Atlantis.

I love their island. Jeff and I have been there before. The only thing is for the small cruiseships they do not open but one area for the on-island lunch. It is very crowded and it is not open but 2 hours. If we had not gone before our massage we would not have been able to eat on the island.

We had a great time. Those long pillows were part of the bed linen's and Mac picked it up and was pretending to play ball. Of course I wanted to document it.

RCI does not give out the chocolates on your pillow in the evenings. This is no huge deal to me. I never ate any of them anyway.

On the first night they no longer do a towel animal. Again no biggie to me. I love the towel animals but missing one is not going to kill me. At least I know this is something they no longer due because I would hate to have thought I was forgotten.

Selena, I am loving your trip report. I love being able to see the pictures along with the report. I soooo want to go to the Atlantis. Quite honestly, I have wanted to for so long. Ted was saying that maybe we could go if our cruise is rerouted due to a hurricane in two weeks. (you never know) Anyway, I doubt it because I would want to get a day room rather than pay for the Atlantis.

Heidi, I just checked out the packing cubes at Samsonite at the Colorado Mills. I was SHOCKED at how small the large cube is. If I do it, I am buying the folder. You might want to go there and see for yourself. I know everyone loves them but good grief!

Oh Heidi that makes me want to do one of those 5 days but I am sure it will be when we can not go. I can not afford Disney anymore. The times I can, I can not get off of work. Boo woo

On the Sensation in May 2008 we missed some of sailaway because the ship started leaving before muster was done. So this was fun. I love sailing out of PC.

At the time we had no clue that we were going to have to switch our fall break cruise from a 4 day on the Inspiration to the 3 day Sensation.

Here are pictures of the Carnival Sensation. They upgraded the ship in the last year to add the new slides waterworks area, an all adult deck and resort style pools
